I remember years ago a classmate told me pigs eat dirty sthings, including shiit, that's why Muslims don't eat pork...not even if it's cooked throughly in boiling water. That didn't make too much sense to me because cows and chickens eat dirty things too. I'm pretty sure eating pork is 10 times cleaner than making out or eating out some girl. But it seems like Muslims wouldn't even lick a piece of pork. So I suspect it has to be some other "hidden" reason why they avoid it so much. What about the Muslim converts? Somehow pork just turned into some dirty thing that they can never eat again.

I would believe him more if he were a scientist telling this, rather than a preacher. Even if what he said is true, it still seems like Muslims have to avoid pork at all costs. I would bet if a piece of pork is verified by a scientist that it is safe to eat, a Muslim still would not eat it.
Pigs will eat anything and everything so they were fed trash, rolled around in feces, and were not farmed in a sanitary manner. I'm sure this produced more illnesses as compared to farmed herbivore animals like cattle and sheep.
Ringworms. Muslims and Jews died from eating pork that wasn't cooked, so, they never ate it again. That's the real reason.
What about now though? Now we have stove, processors, etc. that can clean any filth that is in the pigs. And the fact that most people in the world do eat pork, isn't it obvious that cooked pigs are not filthy anymore?
I'm not talking about eating pork as a diet, I'm talking about just eating a small piece of it or even just licking it, a Muslim would not do it. It sure seems more to it than the reason that pigs are filthy.
And I highly doubt farm pigs eat their own dead children like that preacher in that video mentioned. It's not like we're eating wild pigs.
Because back when the people that wrote down the rules for the religion were around they considered pigs to be unclean meat, and it was culturally unacceptable, same for Jews....so they put in those rules, people gots to have some rules ya know.... More bacon for us heathens.....sure they get the 72 virgins, but we get the BLT sandwich, and after like 6 or 7 virgins you are going to want a pro anyway. DD
