Hey New York, we will just not have the swap picks this year, and we'll take Randolph, you ok?

We don't have the PT for him. Seriously, how many young guys can a team develop at once?

And I'd rather keep the picks.

This Melo trade talk is heating up like it’s wrapped in flannel.

The Daily News is reporting that Anthony Randolph could be headed to Houston for a first round pick which could help land the Nuggets‘ star, who will play in New York tomorrow (or will he?) as the Knicks try to make it… EIGHT wins in a row?!

“Anthony Randolph’s value to the Knicks can’t be measured in points and rebounds. Instead, he could be the guy who gets them Carmelo Anthony.

“The Knicks have fielded calls from several Western Conference clubs regarding a deal for Randolph, according to a team source. The most compelling conversations have been with the Houston Rockets, who in one scenario would trade the Knicks the first-round pick they obtained in last year’s Tracy McGrady deal.

“Knicks president Donnie Walsh has admitted publicly that he regrets trading that pick and has been trying for two months to acquire a 2011 first-rounder. The pick is critical if the Knicks want to acquire Anthony, who is likely to be traded by the February deadline.”

AR is worth more than a first rounder, but you have to figure the Knicks will trade their seldom-used forward if it means landing Melo.

And remember, Michael Beasley was traded this summer for a second rounder. It’s possible.

This has been discussed extensively in the GARM. Morey will not trade the pick back to the Knicks without a lotto protection attached to it. The Knicks need to own the 2012 pick outright so that would be useless to them.

His numbers are really close to Hill if you compare their averages. I think its way too early to give up on Randolph's high ceiling. I hope Morey can get him before he gets shipped away in a trade.

Morey needs get him on the team. Twill and Anthony Randolph would be great pieces moving along in the future.

randolph isn't worth more than a 1st rounder. non-lotto first is his value and that's pushing it with his issues and complete inability to play on the knicks. this is his THIRD year in the league. he should be able to get off the bench and play if he does have this amazing upside potential.

    I like this trade

    plus the Knicks 2012 pick.

We get a badly needed shot blocking center who can run the floor who NY hardly uses plus a young player with potential.

NY gets their pick back so they can improve their bid for Melo plus they get a player their coach liked and could use again who we don't use at all.

That's definitely a solid trade. Just wonder how the Knicks value Turiaf right now.
