Would you do a Brooks for Mayo trade?

Seems to me we already have a player with Mayo's skillset in Courney Lee.

Seems Mayo can create his own shot which we definitely need in crunch time..

Lol playing Mayo at pg would be even worse than C. Lee. He has no court vision or passing ability

Honestly, he's probably as far away from Lowry as you can get. He shoots a very good 3 ball and is awesome at pull up jumpers in transition. Lowry doesn't shoot 3's and always passes in transition. Mayo has great potential to be a lock down defender, lowry just hustles. 2 completely different players

Stay away from players like zach randolph. He's very talented but hes not a winner. OJ Mayo on the other hand is stuck behind randolph and gay and he will be on a new team sooner or later. I'd love to see Mayo in a rockets jersey because I think he has the potential to be star. The only reason I would trade for randolph is if mayo was included (because Zbo is in the LAST year of his contract).

    J. Jeffries
    K. Martin
    J. Taylor
    2nd round pick

    for

    OJ Mayo
    Z. Randolph :)

What Kobe thinks of OJ Mayo

LOL!..............you basically constructed the Grizz team past and present 2.0......and they wouldnt win a playoff series and probably would be in the bottom 3 in the playoffs as well.

Unlesss you plan to use Z.Randolph as trade bait this year, because his contract is expiring and he has talent, you stay away from the guy. Mayo on the other hand is very interesting and although I dont see him as that much of a upgrade than Lee at this point of his career, the Rox should consider him. but Lee wouold have to be moved (and or J.T.)..............IT IS WRITTEN.

Man you are delusional if you think Courtney Lee would be better at PG than Mayo.
Mayo hast the skills to be a great passer in a system that ask that from him.
He just happen to be playing with the Grizzlies where he plays strictly SG.

Plus, he and Lowry would make a very good backcourt both defensivelly and offensivelly.

I posted a three team trade under the "random houston rockets trade ideas" thread where we end up with melo and smith sending mayo and randolph to the nuggets. Go read it

Rather have Landry. Cheaper, plays harder, and less of a liability.

I remember that the Grizzlies tried to use him as PG last year for a while, as Conley was that bad. And it was according to my memory a disaster.

LOL what a good way to make an argument, does "can help a team instantly" and "one of the most athletic player[sic]" outweigh being a mental headcase and cancer to the team? Here I'll also list some other guys you might be interested in:

    1. Stephon Marbury-multiple all star, part of the boston celtics team that reached the eastern finals
    2. Mike James-can shoot the three, hit some clutch shots, NBA CHAMPION
    3. Greene-one of the most athletic players in the league, dunk champion

I like zach randolph in a bonzi wells sorta way. I would take randolph if we could get him on the cheap after a buyout or something along those lines. It looks like he makes 17 mill so not sure how you work a trade for him this year. It would have to be next year and I dont think he is worth more per year than scola or lowry.

If we are giving up not that much? Then sure Zac Randolph and Oj Mayo are good editions. Zac by himself no. OJ Mayo by himself? Maybe yes.

Zach doesn't even understand the meaning of playoffs.

Coach: "Zach, we need you to help us make the playoffs."
Z: "Do you have a recipe? I have never eaten playoffs before"

I read a lot here about Mayo and Randolph, but, umm why would we not want their ACTUAL best player of Marc Gasol? He's the one we should be targetting. I'd easily be willing to trade Brooks+..Jefferies? for Mayo+Marc in a heartbeat. Of course, that won't happen as they have locked in Conley into that longterm contract...but we should definitely go after Marc. Let's just give them Jefferies like how the lakers did it :)
