Wow. I forgot about them. I saw their show in 05 or 06 with, IIRC, John Reuben and Relient K. The singer accidentally busted his lip on the song "Please Let This One Stay." Blood was everywhere. That was my first exposure to scream music and I thought it was part of the act. It wasn't, but at the time, I was weirded out. Well, that exposure led me to love the scream genre. I don't think these Christian artists have been mentioned and they need to be. Emery puts on the best live show I've ever seen. I don't have words to describe it. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qW9_cklGbOg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qW9_cklGbOg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> This UnderOath song was my "get hyped" song for sports in high school. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TOdfV1EjUgg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TOdfV1EjUgg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

From back in the day, REAL old school west coast hip hop from the G funk era Gospel Gangstaz -BY FAR the most street credded Christian artists. Former Bloods gang members going fresh from the street to being saved right into the studio. Using the N-WORD with no shame, even using Snoop Dogg samples and Dr Dre beats. The only thing christian I ever played that even came across natural without having to force it. (Maybe POD years later had the same naturalness) The video title is wrong. Song is called "Before Redemption". That it can even be used in a SLASHER video with killing should indicate its street creed <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UCvVTTOOonA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UCvVTTOOonA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Dizmas were a pretty cool band. we got to basically have a conversation with them in between their songs because there were about 14ish people there. random story: there was a bat flying around in an old barn where the concert took place. The singer asked me to name it- so I named it Cornelius. oh and if you are into the Christian scream stuff, this band is AWESOME. Just the right dose of scream with outstanding vocals and a strong chorus. great drums too. THIS FIRE'S EMBRACE Both of these songs are very likable Christian or not. this one is my favorite <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XR_Hn3iiDL8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XR_Hn3iiDL8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jG_b3xsW8tU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jG_b3xsW8tU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

just had to post this...i was listening to some old cds on the way to work and came across this song. only christian song that still makes my throat tighten when i listen to it: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CIRxb2y3H1w?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CIRxb2y3H1w?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> vocals are from reese roper of five iron frenzy.
i've never gone out and specifically wanted to listen to christian music, but if its on, why not...i haven't heard of any of these groups so maybe I'll expand my horizons and start listening...

DFW Rocket, how's things over at Daystar? Heard about the extortion stuff, that's some nasty business. Glad the Lamb's came out and told the public what happened.
you know..if this was a current ongoing issue..I think there would be a lot of flack..but since it is years in the past its already been dealt with - I think we'll be fine. The key is that as soon as the blackmail attempt happened, they immediately dealt with it in the proper way - going to the police, then admitting what happened publically. I was on the floor during the show yesterday, and there was definitely a different feel on the floor than you get from the AP news - interesting to see a story happen, and then see the reports on it later. Some important things to remember about Daystar is that we're quite a bit different in HOW we operate than many other Faith-based Networks. Our entire operations (including everyones Salaries) are paid for by programmers, and NOT by donations. It is intentially done that way. Although we do raise donations twice a year, that money is kept seperate and used solely for missions, charitable organizations and for growing the network. We've given over $45 Million to Feed the Children, Orphanages in Africa, Phillipines, we're helping to build a Nursing School for the poor in India, a Trauma Center in Israel, we spent over $50K alone for water, food, gasoline, etc in the wake of Hurricane Ike in Houston.
