Battier/Lee aren't doing any better. So you think Lee was fair value for Ariza? It's been discussed..why didn't we just take back Collison?
Lee is a guy Morey targetd in the draft and he has proven he can do more as he has shown in Orlando. Battier on the other hand should be benched. Ariza is an overpayed, overhyped roleplayer who made out like a bandit. He was so valuable to the Lakers, they won another ring after he left.
Lee is a good player, but he can't really show it by getting spot minutes which is making him jack up shots instead of letting the offense come to him. IMO, the team would be better when Brooks comes back and Lee is in the starting line up instead of Martin. But that will not happen since Rick can be too loyal to his players.
Did you see how much he did for the Lakers in that playoff run? Artest (his replacement) made some clutch shots during the finals esp game 7.
Trevor Ariza was freakin awesome today. He can't (or maybe even didn't want) box out Craig Smith who scored a go ahead basket for Clippers. Then he went to the line and missed both free throws. After Paul/Jack steal Hornets would go ahead instead of trying to cut the deficit to one. And 4|11, 1|4, 0|2 and a couple of turnovers we miss you trevor! lol
It was Ryan Gomes who outfought him for inside position for that rebound. If you're going to hate on him for his performance tonight, you should give him his props for his play the other night against Sacramento. He shut down Tyreke Evans in the 4th qtr and was a big reason why they won that night.
He would not help on this Rockets team, but then, not many of our players are helping right now either. DD
everyone on the rockets would be playing better if cp3 was on our team instead of a injured lowry or undrafted rookie....
he's dribbles ok. He does hit his 3 pointers at clutch times unlike Battier and Bud who can't hit ****. oh, and his team wins.
Problem is all of Battier, Ariza and the HARD G, suck. I think they're all shooting below 40% fg right now.
I wish Ariza the best. He wanted to get the opportunity to develop his game and be showcased more on the offensive end when he was here. He had his chance as we needed someone at the time to be the man on offense. However, both parties over time realized that he was best as the 3rd/4th/5th option. He really was starting to fit in well at SF towards the end of the season. Martin was a good addition for him as he became more productive when less was expected. Martin and Brooks were able to control the ball handling and Trevor became the slasher/open 3 shooter playing off of the ball. He plays off of a star/lead player really well and has a good set shot. For all the people that were killing his shooting last season, his numbers are way better than what we're getting from Shane and Chase this season.
