i always got what your saying...but like i've said before, yao and scola will never work defensively unless the other 3 spots have defense and we have at least one other shot blocking threat off the bench to help. We used to have rafer, tmac, shane and then deke of the bench as that shot blocker. chuck also helped, but clearly he can't hold down the paint for extended minutes as the only defensive big.

We're not just getting killed on the perimeter, but also on the inside with putbacks, rebounds, and layups. Realistically, even with hinrich and iggy you'll still have penetration. They can't stop everything, and again, a pick can take hinrich immediately out of the picture and make him irrelevant on certain plays. Don't you think that's going to be the call in crunch time? Now your left with one solid defender in iggy, who's not a consistent shot blocker, martin, scola, and a slow yao to hold things down...the offense can further take out our defenders by having Iggy's man camp out at the 3pt corner and now you have martin/scola/yao as your wall to the rim. In the past it would be either tmac or battier along with scola and yao, much better since both tmac and battier are solid help defenders who combined have better shot blocking abilities than a Martin/iggy combo. All of that helps funnel the ball to the outside or to yao more easily.

Would be nice to see Scola get a ring even if not with us. And if nothing with coaching and Morey changes for the better, I'd rather see him get a chance on a contender while TRYING (Morey as of lately wtf) to build for the future.
