Why the hell doesn't Yao wear military boots while playing? I mean, come on... Has he been wearing regular basketball shoes all these years???

Many of the tendons in the foot originate in the leg, so it could be a strain localized in the foot of a tendon originating in a leg muscle. Or it could be a strain of a tendon in one of the intrinsic foot muscles. Not sure how this would be related to any bone injury (unless there's an avulsion ).

the wizard's announcers were talking about it and had another look at the replay of yao walking to the locker room and they said it was his right foot.

sorry for double post but they also looked at the replay of him taking that charge and i think it was mcgee that stepped on his foot bending it awkwardly.

Needs MRI def out a few weeks or has to be immobilized. He needs to stretch more but than again his size and weight can make it difficult plus the plethora of injuries. Hope it's not too bad.

Any ideas on how long he'd be out based on the injury?

Iguodala has an achilles strain, which I think is similar, and he's only been out about a week.

This is why Yao shouldn't be taking charges. He's too damn big.
