I agree, they'll have to throw in Wade and Take Martin. LOL, what 4 months can do.

Don't need him. Scola is playing as one of the best PFs right now probably only behind Gasol and Dirk. He always shoots a higher percentage, has more intangibles, and makes much less.

I dont like it unless DM can pull off a trade for Melo with a package headlined by Brooks. I would love to have a starting lineup of Lowry o.r Ish along with Martin, Melo, Bosh and Yao as long as we keep Lee, Bud, Hayes and sign Damp.

No way I pay Bosh that salary with the way Scola is playing right now. Half the money and much better production. Riley would have to give us more than just Bosh to take his contract. I would expect 2 picks added in the deal at least.

I'd do Scola and Jeffries for Bosh. Bosh is long and can block shots. He spaces the floor as good as Scola and rebounds about the same. Bosh is probably a better scorer and he is a better defender, but most of all, he is a go-to guy. We really could use one of those right now. There is a reason why Morey wanted him.

A buddy of mine, who's been a Heat fan since the days of Rony Seikaly, tells me all the f'n time how he'd rather have Scola than Bosh. Even before "the decision".

    My question is:

Would the Heat benefit with Scola?

    My answer:

    100 times, yes.

Maybe straight up plus Jeffries but they arent getting anything else because he has a bad contract which is long and plays no defense even worse than Scola. Heck Scola scores more than him this year and Bosh isnt all that much a better rebounder. So its about equal right now except Bosh now costs more and is a little younger. Its a doable trade. Just up to us if the trade off is worth swallowing a max contract now?? Should have came here in the first place. Told him and them it was a bad idea being a third wheel in Miami. Now pretty much its all true. One of their games had to fall off the map completely. We all knew it wouldnt be Wades or Lebrons.

Wow what a difference a few months make.

I love me some scola but I'd do the trade if all it takes is Scola and Jeffries. Bosh is way younger, and gives you a player to build upon once Yao declines/retires. Scola is around the same age as Yao,the window doesn't get any longer with him around.

Plus, Bosh will have a chip on his shoulder from being kicked out of Miami. Maybe it'll be enough to convince him to play D and rebound.

I would be down trading Scola for Bosh if they give us Chalmers for Jeffries. This way we can package off Brooks (Lowry can't be traded currently) for another borderline star.
