A nice series of videos showing Yao's rehab, and his progression throughout the past year. It's easy to take for granted that the big guy is back. Just a look at what it took for him to get here. Part I Part II Part III Part IV
Ha, this is interesting. I was looking for the videos of this programme. Found a part of it in Fran's article in NBA.com, google the rest, wala! Your thread is the first one popped out. I am quite surprised there's no response in your thread at all. Thanks for the link.
thx for the contribution, the vids are quite encouraging, especially when the doc said yao still got a long way to go, after he had already attended a few games, and performed fairly well. thumb up!
very inspiring ... thanks for sharing this to everybody The Rockets have so many good people on the team and staff. Yao is among the first on that list--what a class act!
i was a gym buff in university and at the end of my 3rd year, i broke my leg in a skiing accident and had to be in a cast for 3 months. having the cast taken off and seeing whats left of my muscle mass was depressing. like someone in the video said, just soft gooey tissue. i hope yao leads his team to a championship, not just cos im a rockets fan, but because i think hes the most deserving player to win one in the nba right now. all those doubts by the critics during the draft, his first year, overcoming cultural difference, the injuries, refs.
I think the best explanation of yao and what we can expect was the trainer at the end of the 4th link...he said he's not back but will get better as time goes on....a month...3 months...six months. I think we should all expect that and accept that will be the case and he will be back to his self in time.
