This one is completely on Adelman. The mismatches he had that worked he never played again. Its as if he is testing out rotations during the regular season. Meanwhile wont play Hill or Patterson while he is doing all of this experimenting against the Champs and the highest scoring team in the league.

What sucks the most is that we can't blame it on the refs.

We better get used to that feeling.

This is what bugs me about the direction of the team, the type of players that fit Ricks system always seem to be poor defenders Miller, Budinger, Brooks, Scola and Martin.

Everyone knows those aren't the type of teams that win championships.

#1 thing that pissed me off was not that Ellis/Curry was hot, it was how many missed defensive rotations did we see?

I am not understanding the calls for Hill tonight, given that Hayes had a pretty good game and I do not think Hill would have been that much better then Jeffries.
Team was clearly gassed, and GS is possibly the last place where you want to go for a back to back. Get Lowry back and we will win. Fact is GS went absolutely freaking nuts today and we lost by 4. It hurts, but it is not completely panicking time. Yet.

Hopefully we can get it together against Denver.

    Need more defense though.

When we start to play defense, we will start winning.

Jeffries really did impress me tonight with some big plays (steals, put-backs)..

But I agree with others on here, Hill should have got some good playing time. We needed the length tonight, and it showed.

Morey needs to chat with Adelman and his staff.

I know that Morey feels Coach knows best. But this is no longer the case.

Well, at least you can have comfort knowing Battier's slow ass will have to guard this individual on Saturday.

    DEFENSE is just non-existant.

I am sorry, but yeah, Battier should NOT be starting.

We simply can't be thinking about winning games over the course of this season at scores above 120 pts per game???

    We ain't Phoenix of old!

Houston, we have a problem.

Oh, wait, it's only the second game of the season, we can make excuses.

A lot of credit to the GSW for making shot after shot...but the defense wasn't making it that challenging. Hopefully we don't get in a hole early in the season, that comes and haunts us at the end of it.
    On to Denver.

When the other team is obviously really hot like the Warriors tonight you have to get physical with them. Find ways to push them out of their comfort zones, pushes and grabs here and there.

Sure, pick up a few extra fouls. But an offense like Golden State's tonight is predicated on rhythm. Calling timeouts, dead balls, etc. will help a ton with that.

This one is on the team defense. Gave the Warriors WAY too much space. The Rockets must do a MUCH better job knowing the opponent's personnel. The only Warrior who is a reliable deep threat is Curry. Chase him off the line.

With Monta, just keep him out of the paint. I know he made some tough jumpers tonight, but if that were his entire shot makeup he certainly wouldn't have shot 80%.

Martin has to contest outside shots with his length and trust his help. Brooks too. Chase their gunners off the 3 and funnel them towards Chuck and Jeffries and Scola. Let them take charges.

Ugh. Very frustrated with this team right now.

    Dear Morey,

Can you please make Adelman play Jordan Hill and Pattrick Patterson!

You didn't pry him from New York for nothing.

Hayes boxed out Lee...but Lee is much taller than him and longer.

We insist on playing Hayes at Center. It was no coincidence that once Jeffries came in the game both times the Rockets began to make runs, they were getting rebounds. They had 45 rebounds tonight, this is why you can't play Hayes at Center, also that he can't protect your rim at all.

We knew this going into the season. We draft Patterson, we get Miller, we even play Jeffries more in preseason. In fact I don't remember Hayes playing center in preseason...so why do it tonight?

This was not a game to toy around with if you look at our schedule.

Rockets gave up 132 points what else needs to be said? I know... why in the hell is Shane Battier still on this team? Why is Chuck Hayes starting at center? Shane Battier and Chuck Hayes should never be in a starting line up together! Jordan Hill not playing? What is Rick smoking on? Some that 0-2 weed?

The fact that the team was gassed is the reason we all wanted to see some fresh legs in there. Not necessarily Hill for Hayes, but maybe Hill for Scola. In retrospect Scola had a great game but it was a matter of letting them rest a bit more to hit GS harder at the tail end of the game.

There was a reason everyone on the board was going "Oh he finally put Miller in!" We wanted some size in there and while Miller obviously stunk on D, it let the Scola/Hayes combo get some rest. Maybe Hill would have done an even better job than Miller despite knowing the system a bit less because he has the same athletic up-and-down attitude needed to hang with the frontline of GS.
