All that money from China into Lez's pockets. That's it. If he's only going to play 1/2 games and 1/2 the season (no back to backs)Then he should be paid half his salary.

Respect from David Stern. The game last night you have to believe went EXACTLY the way Stern wanted it, and the referees officiated it that way. In future games against non-Laker teams we'll get more of the benefit of the doubt from Stern's posse of refs because of Yao, what he means to the NBA, and the storyline he represents.

    THAT!

seriously guys - have you seen Wade's first game against Celtics? and he only missed the preseason - Yao has not played a real NBA game for 15 freaking months, can we just have a little patience and be more reasonable in terms of expectations?

i personally think he looked great last night with almost a double-double and his 24-minute presence made our defense that much better, and i can't even imagine how hard he has worked to get his body into this condition

Man, you are right. When TMac came back from that surgery, he was not moving without ball, used his eyes for defence.......

It’s always a little hard for Yao to handle opposing teams’ mobile big men, especially those with excellent speed and skills around the basket, and in the last few years, Gasol has certainly become the best among them. One good thing about last night’s game is to let Yao know how much he still needs to improve before he can become more effective against an elite team like the Lakers, so let’s be patient.

Yao seems to get the same critisicm every year, I remember in 08-09 season when they played boston and lost at home, I remember yao missing some point blank layups and even getting stuffed by the rim. As the season went on he got better and better than went 11-11 against portland in the playoffs before getting injured. He seems to always start out rusty and timid, this year especially since he's coming off of a 15 month injury
