From time to time, yes. They did a nice page around trying to draw Chris Bosh to Houston. And no, I don't think the Rockets have a shot at Melo. They're not actively pursuing him at the moment, and the Nuggets have not been actively looking for suitors of late.

 

Carmelo Anthony in Denver:

Give me at least 2 valid reasons why i should choose Houston over New York.


Bill Ingram:

1) The media is New York will eat you alive for not winning a championship after you got their hopes up.

2) The Rockets have a much better team in place, essentially two starting units, and you would have a much better chance of winning a championship than in New York, where they barely have one starting unit.

Trade For Carmelo with no extention

Best case Carmelo does not sign extension and wants to come to houston... Nuggets do not have much leaverage...so we do not need to give as much

Thus we give them salary matches only

Jefferies / Battier / taylor


Then Battier will ask for a release and come back to the rockets..

Carmelo will resign with the rockets if his winning and happy

If not we dont lose much....

I don't know why Denver would do that. They get back nothing in return of value. They may as well simply buy Melo out.

 

I like the sound of that, essentially two starting units. We are essentially nearly injury proof.
