What was he thinking? And where did he buy that? Is that actually that buddhist swastika? I can't tell the difference, should google it.
i don't think so.....byron's looks like the real nazi one, which was rotated on its axis compared to the buddhist one
if he's anything like me. he just went to sams and picked up a black tie that matches his coat... i didn't even notice the swaztika until i scrolled down.
yeah, i didnt catch it right off the bat either....i think it's probably a case where he or someone picked it up quickly and didnt really think about it...i think it's safe to say he wouldnt wear it, if he noticed it.
A couple of misconceptions about the swastika First, the swastika originated long ago among Europe and Asia and then became popular in India so it is not inherently Buddhist in origin. Second, both directions of the swastika are used in India - there is no orientation of the swastika that makes it more Nazi than Hindu or Buddhist; facing one direction means the evolution of the universe, the other the involution Maybe he got the tie in Asia
you have clockwise and counter-clockwise swastikas all throughout history and continents yes, but as far as i understand only the nazi's tilted it at a 45 degrees rotation as it appears in byron's tie
Ive always wondered about hypothtical situation: Say Im asian and lived in the neighborhood for 10+ years so people recognize me. Do you think anyone would be mad if I put something that was clearly asian/budhhist related but had a swastika (in its original form and meaning) on it up in front of my house or something? Its unfortunate that the meaning of the swastika has been distorted after the psyco nazis
Unfortunately . . . . The Nazis messed up alot of things Most minor among them . . . 1. Cannot name you child Hitler or have it in your name 2. Cannot wear a charlie chaplan moustache 3. cannot have anything related to swastika. Rocket River
