I don't know whats the 100 on this as I've only spoken to one side but here it is.
Spoke with DJ Mbenga's agent tonight and he says the Rox will be signing DJ and not the Nuggets as mentioned on a thread in NBA Dish. Only problem hindering the signing are visa difficulties. DJ's agent represents just about every French or French speaking player in the NBA and I don't doubt he is in negotiations with Morey. I guess Morey is trying to go with either Damp or DJ.
Hopefully my info is not wrong and if it's not then mea culpa. We'll find out soon enough.

Are you sure you met his agent or was it Fresenko?

Most likely would be a non guaranteed contract and if he makes the team he would come cheaper than Damp. I liked him last year and didn't want him to go(salary reasons had us keep Cook over him :( ) but lets be real, he's insurance and will be on the end of the bench. Even if Yao goes down he would have a hard time finding pt with what we already have.

In a sense. I think the rockets would be better served with a big, physical, deke clone when yao is on the bench vs a more offensive guy like miller. When he's been called upon to play, he's played pretty well by rebounding and protecting the rim.

Eat it Denver. DJ Mbenga prefers the Rox over the Thuggets. Carmelo is next you rocky mountain air heads...

Deke = avergaed 10 rebounds per game for his career.

Alleged Deke Clone = averaged 6.4 minutes per game for his career.

We only sign him for Congo revenue.
