well what't your trade proposal..? I don;t understand how you created this thread asking to trade one of our players with no trade prposals..!!
Never, career Rocket. This guy will still be finding a way to score when he is 35+. He is my favorite Rocket and while Yao brings China, Scola brings a very large Hispanic community. He and Yao are the faces of the franchise.
I don't know who the hell you think you're talking to, but you're way out of line with the last comment. Everything else here is within the accepted realm of insults for what they perceive to be a bad thread. You sir cross into territory that is both personal and beyond the acceptability of ClutchCity conduct. I've been here since 99 and from what I've seen what happens with this kind of deal is somebody gets banned and/or the thread gets locked. It sounds like most of you want the lock. All I'm saying is that Scola's value is very high now and we are at a time when teams are reshuffling in advance of the next CBA and/or were looking at a chance at the free agents of last and missed. We are well positioned to be a major player at a crucial time in NBA history. When else have there been so many frontline stars ready to move? I should have made the poll like I was going to as this came out wrong. Incidently, I would have voted for trading Luis only in a deal for a top 7 - 8 player. Most would have him retire as a Houston Rocket I guess. It doesn't mean I don't love Luis. Geez!
Agree. Although I am in the minority (pun intended ), I was glad Bosh went somewhere else. For the dollars vs. production, Scola is King-Kong. He is Zorro without the mask. He is a Biblical Samson ... with hair. He is the Knocket Rocket.
No it has nothing to do with that. I've always advocated constantly looking to improve our team and sometimes the best move witha player is to sit still and watch things unfold. I'm just curious if EVERYONE would so readily give up Scola for Bosh now?
Are you a San Antonio fan who wants him back? Otherwise may I suggest not attempting to disturb us earthlings!
Kind of an ambiguous question, isn't it? Like: "How do you feel about spending $100?" Doesn't it depend on for what we are trading Scola?
Yes, you're right Carl. I had intended it to be a poll such as "What would it take for you to trade Scola?". And probably ended up slanting it too much as an opinion piece. It would be interesting to find out what folks think he's worth right now. Oh well.
I agree with others that the timing is bad, but it's still an interesting thread. I would not trade Scola for the next 2-3 years at least. He's a winner, and we need those kinds of people on this team more than we need a superstar. Compared with other teams, I think we are about on-par wrt talent, so what defines our team is that we also have players with character, heart & the desire to win. That's why I would not trade Scola.
