http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/32/basketball-values-09_Houston-Rockets_322525.html Pretty surprising for me, especially the "letting only 10% of tickets go unused" part because the TC looks half-full to the games I went to. But then again that was data from 2 seasons ago, last season may be a little less. But with this year's squad and potentially getting Melo, it's exciting time for Rockets fans. the rest of the league: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/32/basketball-values-09_NBA-Team-Valuations_Value.html
This is actually from 2009. And the Rockets got to the second round with Yao playing 35+ minutes. He lead the team with +5.8 during the playoffs. He also avged 20 and 11 in second round.
Give it some time and the Houston Rockets will eventually climb the list. With a high-exposure to the Chinese market plus the possible addition of Melo, the rocket's may experience a huge revenue boost in both the short and long run.
Its nice to know the Rockets are more valuable than the Celtics. If they give us are two rings back we can call it even.
