Did you predict the Celtics win 39 in 07?

Count the salary of team USA. It is way above what any team could afford to offer. Now, Durant's top sidekicks are worse than Wade's top sidekicks, but overall the team USA players are better. Miami has no depth or frontcourt.

pretty sure they could play all 48 minutes, but i still think team usa wins due to depth

point guard play would tear miami a new one....you got Big shot, Rose, and westbrook....that's pretty good depth at the 1 spot. Miami has Chalmers.....Gay and Durant are a great one-two punch on the wings as well. I think this team is better than people give them credit for...

Poll? Whenever someone puts up a "debate" thread it should have a poll IMHO.

Anyway people who think Miami will win are on crack. 90% of Miami's talent are on 4 people, and 3 of those 4 play just two positions. Heat is awesome at the 2, 3 and 4 but they are just average at the C (big Z) and below average at the pg (Chalmers).

Team USA will beat the crap out of Miami because of two reasons:
    1) Overwhelming advantage at the C and pg positions
    2) Overwhelming advantage at depth

I'm pretty sure a rotation of Eric Gordon/Odom/Granger/Durant/Iggy/Mayo will hold its own against Wade/LBJ/Miller. On the other hand, expect Chalmers and Big Z to be eaten alive by Billups/Curry/Westbrook/Rose and Big Z has no chance against Lopez/Tyson Chandler/Mcgee.

More importantly do you expect LBJ, Bosh and Wade to play 48 minutes? Their 2nd unit has Mike miller and scrubs! You really think those scrubs will stand a chance against team USA? Meanwhile Team USA will just throw wave after wave of borderline allstars (everyone on the team is at least a borderline allstar) at them and tire them out. IMHO Team USA will blow Miami out by the 3rd quarter.

Wave after Wave? this isn't soccer or football. If you're just talking about one game, the fact that Team USA has a better 10th man than Miami doesn't really make a huge difference. Miller, Haslem, James Jones, et al are serviceable enough to do their jobs when they're on the floor if they have multiple elite players around them.

Silly question, Team USA is a much better overall team. They have too much depth.

lol @ 49 wins.... the heat almost won that many last year with only wade. you dont think adding another superstar and all-star will earn them more than a few wins ?????

This is a pretty silly question. Heat has 2 good wing defenders having to guard 3 elite scorers from the 1,2,3 spots...Chalmers will get eaten alive. If they switch Wade onto Rose, then that would leave maybe Chalmers on Durant or Granger...lol. Heat doesn't have anywhere near enough depth to pull this one.

even if its just one game that's still 48 minutes for each position. Team USA can afford to have full court man-to-man day from quarter 1 and tire James, Bosh and Wade out by the 4rth quarter.

They could but they probably wouldn't - I mean they don't even manage to do it for a full 40 minutes against vastly inferior European teams - how could they do it against a team that woudl feature Wade & James?

People are failing to realize that James & Wade are two of greatest players in the NBA right now. They can beat every man off their dribble... they still play 40+ minutes every night anyways... Heats point guard situation is not that bad.. along with their center.

...But they don't play against a Team USA on regular basis which has much more talent and depth than an NBA team. Many of the Team USA players are All-Stars and can also beat their man off the dribble like Rose, Durant, Granger.

The Heat already thinks they're team USA.
