Team USA front court are unable to protect the paint well. That will be the biggest problem for them in this world cup.
This game is very troubling to me, but I have to keep in mind that Team USA should improve as they play more. Spain is clearly not playing defense in any way, shape or form like they will if they meet Team USA in the elimination rounds. The iso plays where one of our guards gets to the rim off the dribble will be off the table when the games count. In fact, I think Spain is deliberately not playing hard on defense so the USA cannot gauge them and learn from this game. When the games count, Team USA will be hoisting up a lot more jumpers than today. On offense, Spain is hustling harder, but (IMO) they aren't giving 100% on that end either. Team USA is taking this contest a lot more seriously, which is understandable.
Spain playing so bad. Scared, and of course, like last year, hiding offensive and defenssive sets (like zones). Coach Scariolo seems angry. USA played that bad yesterday.
Wow, Rubio is a stud. He can do it all and is proving it in this game. By far the most impressive player soo far. I can see why morey likes him soo much.
