With news that Carmelo Anthony is interested in Houston, I thought it would be a good idea for someone to set up a link so we could try convincing him to come here through tweeting. If someone could set this up and post the link around the site it would be good.
this..... but do they really have their own facebook and twitter; kind of think there's PR people behind it........but then again the bosh fiasco.........
Something along the lines of, "Thanks for having someone mention your slight interest in the Houston Rockets. You got Clutchfans really excited for another week."
Dude, they themselves stay on twitter from their phones, at least most of them. I know Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Carmelo, and Pattrick Patterson do.
It seems like sometimes superstar players will immediately respond to an excited fanbase, and other times... there are two more dominant, transcending feelings: -the proverbial "hey it's a business" feeling - & the "I want to win somewhere*** that'll win" feeling. These feelings a player deals with, they contend against one another, and whatever fans could possibly say winds up being a: - "oh great they're excited, well that's icing on the cake" feeling - or a "whatever get money money money" feeling. I certainly hope Melo winds up receptive to Houston fans wanting to root for the guy. I have a feeling his aspirations may be a little beyond what an arena of fans / fan community has to say for him though. I guess time will tell. He's totally welcome in my book... but regardless, I love the nucleus of heart that's already here - and in Morey I still trust. *** here, "somewhere" def. denotes H-TOWN!! Go Rockets baby!
Fanbase excitement might be helpful in luring scrubs who feel like an afterthought in their present circumstance. I doubt it is attractive to star players who are wanted everywhere.
