Together with Nowitzki, Stojakovic, GINOBILI (Argentina) and CAMERON (New Zealand). Nowitzki is the MVP.

Congrats, Yao Ming. You earned the best birthday gift for yourself.

(Personally I think the all-star shooting guard would be Paul Pierce, if the US team at least won a medal).

or put it in another way, the all-star shooting guard should be awarded to Paul Pierce, SINCE the US did not win a medal.

I too thought Pierce deserved a spot more so than Cameron of New Zealand.

    Congrats to Yao though. :)

    -G'day-

Because Nowitzky and Stojakovic took Gasol's spot. I think they are better than Gasol in this stage of their careers.

On NZ's guard Cameron, Paul Pierce is a sg/sf and Cameron is a point guard. It's orange vs. apples. NZ is an overachieving darkhorse in this tournament, their key players should be given credit.

Considering Ginobili helped Argentina decrowning the Dream Team 5 and advancing further, taking him over Pierce isn't one sided.
