It felt a bit pretentious, honestly. Look, I am not judging folks if they want to experiment and try stuff for a while, but trust me. Most people grow out of that, and the ones that don't end up being losers in life for the most part. It is what it is.....at the end of the day, I am just a little closer to death than most of you posting here, and have had more experience in these matters.....no worries, life gets us all. DD
ive been making poor choices for 20 years now. graduated high school, went to the university of texas where i got 2 degrees, worked my way thru school, sometimes holding down 2 jobs, played in bands and traveled around and now run my own business...one long series of poor choices. that being said, my job doesnt require me to not smoke pot, like the nba - how hard is it for these dudes to not get caught?

im 35 - most of my friends smoke too (i am in austin, afterall!). some of them are very successful. ive done pretty well - no complaints! and again...20 year smoker. i personally know a couple lawyers who smoke as well as an M.D. 8-10% of americans are regular pot smokers - you know people who smoke, whether you know it or not. you said mar1juana users are stupid, make poor choices and are underachievers - sounds pretty judgmental to me. im a grown-up in the real world and ive been smoking for 20 years. ive got money in the bank and no debt except for my mortgage (yes, somehow i managed to own my own house). i smoke pot in my house too...its great!
Not all of them? Ok, sounds like you are happy. I know a lot of people who smoke...... This is true, I think people who smoke pot after a certain age are not really all that smart. Did you ever wonder if you quit how much MORE successful you would be? I am happy for you Jo, of course you could be high when typing this... I hope you are not exposing your kids to it. DD
there is plenty of successful, young, entreprenuers and businessmen that par take in smoking, no they're not your typical, sit at home and smoke weed all day teenager. Just because you and the people YOU associate with do not ever, will not ever touch pot, does not mean their are not people in other places who are "successful" that enjoy an occasional smoke to unwind after a long week, long day, long month, whatever. do what makes you happy, if you can be successful while being overweight and living in a square more power to you. as for me I'll get up early, hit the weights or go for a run, bust my ass at work and maybe I'll ruin my life by having a few beers after work or smokin a hooter.
um, you kind of are. i didnt grow out of it and at 35 i can say that i will more than likely be smoking for the rest of my life. i love it! if that makes me a loser than a loser i am.
I smoked pot once... my friend put it in the sheesha we were smoking. I got really dizzy and puked. Never smoked again. Nothing against pot users though, as long as they don't bother me with it, is koo'. However I had neighbors who did nothing but smoke 24/7 and stank up my whole garage and car port area. That was a bit of a nuisance.
no and if i did i would not smoke - at least until they turned 18. mainly b/c it is illegal and if caught you are putting your kids at risk of getting taken away by CPS. too much to lose. for the record, i dont want kids - i prefer dogs!
As I said, it is stupid. You sound like the exception, though I don't know your business or exactly how successful you really are.......I guess that is in the eye of the beholder. I know a lot of people that never gave up smoking and now are simply the dregs of life.....I am 45 years old, and have seen many friends go down the drug highway all the way to death or ruin.... Just not worth it......I have no issue with folks trying stuff, but at some point, MOST grow out of it.... DD
I really don't care.... I think smoking pot is stupid...... Most people here are 20 somethings and are experimenting...I get that.... They will grow up......well most of them will anyway. DD
lol jeez some of you guys are like the government in here, 100% against pot.. I'm not a smoker anymore( for a couple more weeks) but i really don't see a problem as long as you don't abuse. I used to smoke only on the weekends though and will continue doing so after my DT in a few weeks, just have some self-control and you all will be fine(by the way im a college student with straight A's). Saying mar1juana is stupid is opinion. and it doesn't really kill brain cells. That's a fact. and can you please explain how it's "basically bad overall?" and personal question for you; have you actually tried mar1juana before?
I rest my case. In college, you should experiment as much as you like.... Once life hits ya...time to grow up. It is stupid, IMO. As for the topic at hand. Haslem is a certified IDIOT for smoking when his career is on the line. DD
