Tracy McGrady believes the Pistons signed him to a bargain contract, but he is reluctant to say much at this point. "My game this season will do all the talking I need to do now,'' McGrady told FanHouse on Friday. "There's no need for me to say anything else at this point.'' http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/08/13/tracy-mcgrady-on-going-to-detroit-my-game-will-do-the-talking/ Lol...
Good move, considering that he managed to singlehandedly talk his way out of Chicago before ever suiting up.
I love that he goes from saying he's considering retiring (when he was in Houston) to this whole "I'm ready to compete" crap. Tracy, by saying your game is going to do the talking for you, you are contradicting yourself before it even starts. Look, I don't hate the guy and for a good amount of time I wish that he was gonna retire in Houston, but come on. He talks way too much. Could anyone more obscure get as much face time with the media as much as Mac does?
Maybe McGrady will just shut up for the first time in his career. I doubt it because he likes listening to himself.
The fact that he said this proves himself wrong....If he was really going to let his game do the talking he would've just not said anything and blown us all away in october....but then he said this which means he said something...
He said he would consider retiring, if this summer proved to be worthless - ie his condition didnt improve. Much like what yao said, but possibly less so.
Good for you Tracy, best thing to do is keep your mouth shut(for once) and prove everyone wrong when the season starts. I think he will do well especially at the beginning, the real question is if he can be consistent throughout the season, which i HIGHLY doubt but i wish him the best anyway.
Hey I wonder how Tracy will fit time in between Martin and Lee oh wait he's a piston. Ok he's my favorite player and all but this offseason he's almost had more threads than Lebron and his drama.
I hope that he is able to redeem his career somehow. If the lasting image in the NBA is that he can't even dunk, let alone get out of the first round that's kind of depressing...
That's like telling Barkley to stop talking or eating or telling Dorsey to stop being stupid. T-Mac is T-Mac and he will never stop flapping his mouth. It will be amusing how long his silence lasts.
I'm going on the record to say Iverson will have played more games in Pistons uniform than TMac will and that magic number is 54 games.....
