That's more about him praising Scottie than slamming LeBron.

Whoever praises Scottie Pippen should be condemned on this board.

    LeBron isn't on Pippen's level. He's higher.

This is a joke. Scottie Pippen couldn't carry teams by himself.
Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen are still remembered because of Michael Jordan. That's it.
Without Michael they would be long forgotten by now.

Actually, he did an awfully good job of it during MJ's first retirement, the timeout incident aside.

When he left in '99, his degenerative disc condition made him half the player he was.

Pippen was a better shooter from outside, and well beyond LeBron on defense. You also have to keep in mind that LeBron thrives in the current no-hand-checks NBA, while Scottie had to deal with the dark alley mugging tactics of the Pistons and Knicks.

I'm not making a declarative statement on who's better, but will say that you shouldn't dismiss the debate out of hand.

He's right, it isn't fair. We have to see how LerBon does being Wade's sidekick before we compare him to how well Quitten does as MJ's sidekick.

I agree with Scottie, but Rodamn was the rebound king in the league since he was in the Pistons. Michael only put him check. I wouldnt say he elevated Rodman's game.

I wouldn't consider Rodman an NBA great.

Greats lead their team. Rodman couldn't or wouldn't.

He was a role player in Detroit. He wilted when asked to be the second to Robinson in San Antonio. He was a really good third in Chicago. He had talent, but he only maximized it in areas he was interested in, never becoming a complete player.

If you're making an All-Time role player team, he and Horry are definitely First Team. But NBA Great? Nope.

You know...earlier today, I was sitting back wondering what Dennis freaking Rodman thought about LeBron James.

Wait. No I wasn't. Who would care about anything Dennis Rodman has to say outside of what wedding dress to wear on your crazy days. He hasn't been relevant in years.

horry never won DPOY; he never made all-nba defensive first teams multiple times; he never made all-star teams. rodman did.

those achievements made him a great NBA player, and a player who will make it to the HOF.

now it's a disgrace to put rodman and horry in the same conversation.

Pippen actually only had a couple of seasons where he shot the ball better from three than Lebron has throughout his career. For the most part, they are equal as outside shooters. Lebron is still the far more efficient scorer, even though Pippen wasn't the main focus of the defense through most of his career.

You're definitely right about Scottie's superior defense though.

If we define a role player as someone who doesn't put up a lot of points, besides Bill Russell, Rodman may be the best role player ever. I don't think people should just be put in the Hall for points. Unfortunately defense and rebounding are consistently discounted. But, if a non-scoring role player is going to be in the Hall, they should be ridiculously good at what they do. If a powerforward is considered a good rebounder for pulling in 10 a game, I'd say averaging almost 19 rbs a game would more than qualifies for being ridiculously good. He was a complete statistical anomaly year in and year out. Not to mention being one of the best defensive players of all time. In my book, he should be in Hall.

He's telling the truth. LeBron is only 6 rings away from
    the best sidekick in history.

Rodman did only two things great, defense and rebounding, which were very useful for a team of course. At his peak, Ben Wallace was at least as good as Rodman. Rodman just had a much longer productive career.
