To make this easy, anything released in the last three or four years, preferably monster and zombie movies. Gore is OK, but I'm not into torture flicks. Thanks
I'd look into Asian flicks made earlier in the 2000's or late 90's. Start with Japanese ones, then maybe move to Thai, Korean, and so on. Asians sure know how to make horror flicks.
So true, have you ever seen Oldboy? There's a movie that'll mess with your head. Doesn't fall into the monster or zombie movie category but still a great horror movie.
Thanks for the suggestions, but if it's older than three or fours years, I've probably seen it or heard of it. It's the newer Horror movies that I haven't been keeping up with. Well, most of them. I did watch Rec (US version) last year.
Warning: Graphic and gruesome. I do not know how old they are; The Myst Zombieland And of course the legendary Mega shark versus giant octopus I love horros movies, not the torture ones (all the saw ripoffs are terrible including Saw). I know there were a few that were also good, but I cannot remember which ones. I will try to remember which ones and post them.
I totally missed the "moster and zombies" part of the original post, my bad. Very old, but have you seen Shaun of the Dead. Best zombie movie evar. You should try the horror types that really gets to you psychologically. Better than the monster and zombies IMHO. Not so much scary but disturbing. The daughter is hot though
"30 Days of Night" was good. "The Crazies" was good. "The Mist" was good. That is pretty much all I can come up with given your conditions. The number of overall movies that satisfy them is pretty limited, much less good movies.
Shaun of the Dead, Rec, and Mist are the last Horror films that I've seen. I've added The Crazies to my list. Thanks.
Some of these have already been mentioned, a few that pop to mind Dawn of the Dead remake Diary of the Dead REC The Mist Drag me to Hell The Host
Planet Terror Let the Right One In Pan’s Labyrinth The Mist Drag Me to Hell Cloverfield High Tension(Haute tension) The Orphanage(Mexico) The Host(Korean) BATTLE ROYALE(Japan) The Descent Trick 'r Treat Deadgirl Død snø(Death Snow) Quarantine [Rec](Spainish) The Thing(John Carpentar) 80s classic if you haven't seen it.
