This one has to be up there on most people's list too even though it was false hopes (series still rigged though) <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/D5KjSA29Rhs&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D5KjSA29Rhs&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
There are so many. 1. 13 in 35 2. Novak's GW to keep the streak alive 3. Yao's 9-9 in GM 1 against POR in the first round of the playoffs. 4. Yao's resiliency to come back and fight the Lakers in the second round of the playoffs. ...

If I had to pick any moment it'd be Dream's block on Starks. My favorite moment that I actually witnessed would be the rockets beating the Lakers to extend "The Streak" to 22 games and watching Deke do this:
Seeing Bobby Jackson at the edge of that picture reminds me, what happened to him? Is he still in the league? Retired?
There are to many moments from the 80's and 90's to mention and no way could I try to put one above the other. But most recently the one that was by far the most ironic and telling was when we made it to the second round last year without a certain bench warmer.
I remember a radio call when Cassell iced a playoff game with a three pointer his rookie season. I was a working the grill at a cheesesteak shop in college. Hanging on every word of that radio call. And, I was in Austin at a bar watching the tail end of the Houston/ San Antonio game. I kept it on, because I always do, I like to see how the team finishes even when they are for sure loosing. And then they didn't loose. It was amazing, and then amazing, and then a couple more amazings, and I walked out of there wondering what just happened. I used to love watching Elie and Cassell finish games. I just felt good when the came into the game, everytime.
Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet. Top 5 Rockets moment for me.... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KBJ8MfQKmQA&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KBJ8MfQKmQA&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I'm going to have to go with the 13 in 35 as well. I didn't get any sleep that night, I don't think a regular season game has ever had that kind of effect on me. The playoff run a season ago in general was pretty cool too and filled with it's own moments. But I think I'll throw a special mention to Eddie Johnson's buzzer beater against Utah. I know we lost the series, and Eddie Johnson didn't exactly continue to have a stellar career like some of these other players from the title years, but that moment is in the top 5 for me because it was probably the first Rockets moment I can clearly remember. I'm 23 now, which meant that during the championships I was like 7. I was aware of what was going on and all, but I wouldn't remember specific plays. And that was the first one. The celebration was epic too, that has to be up there in the greatest looking celebrations of all time.
It's really a shame how McGrady's career ended. Some of it was in his control, but some of it he had no control over (like the injuries). It really makes some of those moments he created a little bittersweet, but like him or not he's still going to be a part of Rockets history. And also... (again, like him or not) I think his stint on the team improved our team overall. Maybe we didn't go as far as we should have, but we got him with Francis and Mobley (who proceeded to become nothing players almost as soon as they left our team)... and it took us from sure 1st round exit to playoff threat (even though we never won a playoff series, we were far closer than with Francis and Mobley). And then of course, when he leaves the team, he was instrumental in getting us Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill and 2 Knicks picks.
A lot of memories: Hakeem 3 pointer in Game 4 of 95 finals, the best ending for those playoffs <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Iz7ZUzqG93c&hl=en_US&fs=1?hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Iz7ZUzqG93c&hl=en_US&fs=1?hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
That was one of my first ones to come to mind, only because I don't ever remember being so excited about the Rockets winning a basketball game as I was at that moment. I was six and seven when we won the championship. When TMac hit that shot I was 99% confident that we would win that series.
Gotta be the 22 game win-streak. Man I was so happy about that my gf at the time got jealous lol

Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie. This was 96-97 and we tied the Jazz 2-2. I thought we were going to meet and beat the Bulls in the finals and make the titles in the 90's 4 for the Bulls and 3 for the Rockets. I thought we were going to be the team of the 90's. But even though that didn't happen. Back to muther****in Back happened!!!!!
All of my real answers have been used, so I'm going to go with Chuck B. bouncing a ball off Shaq's dome, avoiding the left jab, body-slamming him, then giving him a couple quick taps on the head for good measure.
Just started watching the Rockets a few years back so I've gotta say the entire first quarter of Game 4 of the '09 Western Conference semis against the Lakers. No Yao and people had written us off for the series at that point. Shane took his game back to the old school when he was actually an offensive-minded player at Duke. I didn't know how it was happening and I'm not sure he did either.
