Oh, well, if we're ordering: 1. The Prestige 2. Inception 3. Memento 4. Following 5. Dark Knight 6. Batman Begins 7. Insomnia But all good movies!
I voted The Prestige mainly because I've only seen Inception once now and I need to see it at least one more time to fully wrap my head around it and decide what I think. I know I loved Inception, but The Prestige is easily one of my favorite movies of all time, and I've seen it at least 10 times now, so my opinion is fully set. Perhaps, in a year or two when I've had time to sit down and pour over the Bluray of Inception my opinion will change.
The Prestige is probably my favorite movie of all time. There is way more drama/themes/thinking in The Prestige than any of the other choices.
Having watched it multiple times, recently as well, I just marvel at the nearly perfect construction of that movie along with the themes.
Gotta go with Dark Knight. It had action, a good plot, great acting (especially by Ledger), and a cool ending. Only negative is that it was so long, but that also allows for all the cool scenes and setting up for the climax, so I guess it was worth it. I haven't seen Inception yet, but I'll see it soon. As of now though, Dark Knight is tops on my list.
Right now I'd say Dark Knight by just a little bit over Inception. But that could change in time. Memento and Prestige are excellent, but I would never watch them more than once. Insomnia was ok. Batman Begins rocks of course but it's hard to put it in the conversation when Dark Knight was that much better (except for Maggie Gyllenhal).
Right at the moment... 1.TDK 2.Memento 3.Prestige Still need to catch Inception and his older movies.
So far Inception, but I still haven't seen Insomnia or the Prestige. I have Insomnia sitting in front of me from Netflix, I really should watch it. TDK is damn amazing though, and it comes very close. Memento is great too but I dont love it as much as Inception or TDK.
In my opinion, Insomnia is his worst. Prestige on the other hand, is his best. You should definitely check it out.
I just found out that Following is supposed to be re-released on the big screen.. now I'm wondering if I should watch it right now or wait for the re-release... anyone know if things will be different??????
Nolan’s latest cinematic effort gave IFC Films the idea to re-release Following in theaters and on-demand to give audiences who don’t already own the film on DVD the chance to see it. I think that means it will be in theaters right???
yeah, I'd just read about the on demand stuff but sounds like they are doing a theatrical rerelease as well.
My only complaint is he keeps casting Christian Bale. I think that's the only one he doesn't have a screenwriter credit on.
