The coaches on the China NT have no respect to the players at all. Remember how many times did Wang Fei rip Ming even though he should take the blame first each time? Remember the pictures in which all players looked like crestfallen? Wang Fei and Xing Lancheng are bigaxxholes in the Chinese bball. They just can't manage to live with the fact that Ming's one year income with the Rockets will be more than their lifetime earnings. Just for your information, those Chinese soccer players playing in the Europe don't have most of the headaches the Chinese bbal players in the NBA have. The Chinese soccer operation is very close to the international norm. This just tells you how bad those Chinese bball officials are. Ming will figure out all of it after his first season in the NBA. Then he will just tell those Chinese bball officials that do my way or high way. I don't see Ming playing garbage games for the Chinese NT after his rooky contract.
I don't think it's a jealousy thing at all. The China guards just aren't talented. They don't have the quickness to beat their defenders one on one, so opposing centers have no fear of penetration, and they have poor passing skills. That makes it very hard for Yao to get the ball. It's not worth conmparing him to Bateer. The defenses are adjusting to stop Ming; they're not worrying that much if Bateer gets the ball, because he's not half as dangerous as Yao. I was hoping to learn more from the WGC, but we can't. The China guards are simply too bad to compare to ANY NBA backcourt, let alone one of the top 5 backcourts in the NBA, arguably one of the top 2 or 3. The one period of time when the guards were effective, in the first quarter of the USA game, China was pretty potent with Ming running the offense, taking passes, and guys hitting open jumpers. Yao has a clear impact on the game-that can be seen by the amount of jumpers taken when he's in the game, rather than penetration
I don't think its on TV ANYWHERE. Maybe Russia, like stated before, but in China and the US it is not on. You can go to fiba.com and go to "live" by China's game. This will have a live update for you.
The FIBA live update is not working on the computer at school I am using right now... Can anyone update the score and stats pls? -G'day-
Yao just came out of the game with 1:35 left in the 4th Quarter. I wasn't able to do the live update thing ealry, so I have a question: did Yao really get that many minutes? Or was this the same as the yesterday? Since it has not been talked about, I'm going to assume he did get that much time. Just curious.
