Durant, Dwight Howard, John Wall (in a couple of years) I think in 2012, those three could mop the floor with Miami's big three.
I am going to say Paul-Anthony-Stoudemire. Just because I prefer a PG-wing-big big 3 to a wing-wing-soft big. Melo has proven to be a capable first option, Paul is possibly the best PG in the league and Amare>Bosh (especially in a D'Antoni system).
Yeah, I agree on Rose actually. Maybe not Deron. But I am an idiot for saying Wall after one preseason game. My point was to choose an up-and-coming point guard. I kind of think people are underestimating the wear and tear of 7 years on the superfriends in Miami. They may (seriously) have each peaked. Especially Bosh/Hawkman.
Yao/Scola/AB - Best inside out combo Bud/Martin/Lowry - Best slasher combo Hayes/Battier/Ariza - Best defensive combo Let the season begin........
How about this. Denver, terrified of losing Melo and not getting anything in return, deals him to Orlando for Carter and Orlando's pik this year and in 2012. New Orleans, strapped for cash and fearing the same thing, deals Paul for Jameer Nelson Martan Gorton and the Magic's 2013 pick. Who do you like better: Howard, Melo, Paul or Bosh, James, Wade? I think the Orlando three would fit together a little bit better. They would also have the better supporting cast with the likes of Duhon, Rashard Lewis, Michael Pietrus, and J.J. Reddick. They then sign Shaq and Camby. They split the MLE 2/3 Shaq and 1/3 Camby. pg Paul/Duhon/ Williams sg Pietrus/Reddick sf Melo/Pietrus/Robinson PF Lewis/Bass / Camby C Howard/ Shaq / Camby
LOLWUT?! That makes absolutely no sense. Especially signing Shaq AND CAMBY?! Why would they need 2 back-up centers for Howard
I can't think of 3 other current players that would be better than the Heat trio. A better question: who is better between Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and James, Wade and Bosh?
How in the World is Pippen equal to Wade or James? His highest PER when he was the man was a relatively paltry 23.2
