    Yup of course he would turn it into some kind of spectacle like that. ESPN will probably have a pre-show and LeBron will have all the different hats of all his potential suitors on the table.

    What's the big deal. Like it or not this has been one of the big stories in sports, of course there's going to be a big, stupid formal announcement. It's only been a WEEK of free agency, there's no need to be antsy. I'm sure the team will end up leaking before 9pm anyway.

    Those sources said that James' representatives requested they be allowed to sell sponsorship for the one-hour special, with the proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and that ESPN agreed to the proposal but had not been told what James has decided.

    LeBron loves the kids!

    I think it's Chicago or New Jersey....

    He couldn't get Bosh to come to Cleveland. He wants to be like Mike. He's got the chance to play with Rose and a decent cast. New Jersey gets him with the promise of "Billionare Status" and Jay-Z promoting him around.


    He should just announce it.

    I will be surprised if New York wins the Lebron sweepstakes. Actually, I will be pissed.

    I think it's r****ded that they've been banking on him to sign for two years and have played mediocre basketball with the hope of a savior coming to town.

    They should do it the way they pick the lottery team order. Every team has a placard with the team owner sitting there split screen. That would be hilarious.
