Wade/Bosh to Chi ignores major issue: doing 2 S&Ts. Someone would have to take Deng's deal. No one will. Tor wants picks/trade exception.

For those saying Chi can S&T for 1 and sign other outright: forget it. Neither Bosh nor Wade is taking less than 6 yr, $120m. Nor wd you.

The Rockets are apparently playing this straight. Notice there has been zero public contact with other free agents, which Bosh might interpret as Morey trying to strong arm him. If Bosh signs, it will be his own choice, his own decision. No pressure sale. I think the Rockets want it that way.

Wrong! Bosh will become the darling of Asia and will along with Yao make plenty of extra money off the court.

That's one of the few selling points in favor of Houston! :p

Good point. Once Lebron stays in Cleveland, then we will have a great chance of landing Bosh.

    'xactly.

I'm not going to be too upset if he ends up ultimately playing with Wade. Why do we want a max player who's not confident enough to lead/ to win on his own? Why would we want Wade's sidekick?

Actually the longer this thing drags out the more it favors the rockets. It just means Chicago, Miami and possibly NY can't come up with a plausible sign and trade Toronto will accept. The longer the better. In the end Houston may be the easier deal to get done without tearing the core of the team apart.

While you're partially right, you're not right since in business an important aspect of being sustainable is keeping good business relationships. If you take the offer off of the table you burn the bridge with his agent and you don't gain anything since we may have been his first choice anyway. Patience is a virtue, and being hot-headed and impatient will not net you anything positive.

This doesn't even make sense, they would S&T if they had the assets, the problem is Toronto don't want any of them (new york/miami) or refuse to part with them (Chicago massively underpay Noah and Rose right now). Houston is Toronto's leverage, not Bosh's because at the end of the day the S&T needs to be agreeable to Toronto unlike a straight signing.

Name the last time a player in his prime didnt listen to his wallet. You think Dirk and Pierce would be giving up cash if they were 26 years old right now? Bosh has every right to make as much money as he can right now. Like it has been said, his off the court income does not come close to Lebron or Wade.

I dont get all this criticism about him being greedy wanting the 6th year. Yao got the max from the Rox and he is about the most selfless player in the NBA. Plus he makes way more endorsement money the Bosh. Hell, Bosh should look at a player like Yao and the injuries he is going through as a main reason to make sure he gets that 6th year. No one has the right to call Bosh greedy unless they go into their boss tomorrow and ask to take a paycut to help the organization out.

As for the ultimatum, it makes no sense. Demanding Bosh sign right now doesnt accomplish anything unless the Rox go out and sign and trade for someone else. Bosh knows if two months from not he is still unsigned and the Rox still want him, they would make the trade happen. Unless we get a PF other then him, Bosh gets to take as much time as he wants.

ohhhh i seee...so we tell boozer we want him, then when he actually bites, we do what, exactly? Tell him it was april fool's? Or just tell him we used him as leverage against bosh? Yeah i'm sure that won't get out in the media and totally blow up in our face

Rockets have made their pitch. Now they should simply start working
on other deals like Bosh does not exist and not coming. The Ultimatum comes
when you have other options in hand. then say. .
HEY BOSH . .we about to sign Lee tomorrow and we will be done with you and everyone will know it. You got until then. . . .if nothing . .SIGN LEE
    and be done with it

While we're at it, let's also give ultimatums to Amare and Joe Johnson.

Too bad he don't see thing the ways we do :( . In a way it's no brainer more $$, be the main guy get all credit and endorsement w/ Yao than invisible siding up the lebron or wade and better chance to win cuz we have better roster (except chitown). If he doesn't want this team then he's either dumb or emotional attached to those guys which is not a sign of a leader. Do not want :p

RR, the Rox did not get to make their entire pitch, 20 minutes with Chris is not the same as the rest of the teams got, with their agent as well.

It just seems like we are the fallback plan, and not even that, the fallback to the fallback plan.

For my part it seems he's doing silly things, shooting documentaries, having fun with DWade and WAITING for LeBron to decide.

We very well might be, DD, but Morey could also be happy to keep a low profile right now, letting the melodrama play itself out so he can pick up the pieces, hopefuly Bosh, who's obviously the largest piece that might be left hanging.

rockets dont need all that time...all they need to say is theyre interested and make an offer to his agent/raptors..

the other teams need long meetings because they're mostly after a partnership of FAs..they have to negotiate who gets how much and why, plus most of those teams arent complete and need to discuss who else they can bring in and where they all fit.

Rockets are already complete, not much guessing going on there or speculation as to who will be on the roster/rotation.
