Slower than a slug. His size, height, IQ and passing will come in handy though.

I hope not. It'll mean he's the starting C for at least the first 1/4 of the season.

Even if Yao only can play 5 minutes, he will start.

Haywood maybe be higher on their list and so will his salary. No chance the rockets get him or even want him at the price he would demand. Miller as a situtational veteran backup is perfect, he's not a rim protector but he's got true size. He can spread the floor and he's a proven veteran.

Really confused by the idiots saying "Nooooooo!"

I think this is more of a formality and it's a done deal (unless someone just offers him stupid money). This would be why they didn't take a Center in the draft.

Miller knows the system and will be great as a backup (and insurance!) to Yao.

    Love it.

I don't mind considering Brad Miller. He's a proven veteran. I hope nobody is expecting him to lead this team to the championship, but he can play valuable minutes to give Yao some rest.

Declining (avg career worst FG% this year) 34yo player looking for a multi-year MLE deal and who will be relied on for starter minutes. Bad contract waiting to happen.
