Verizon Wireless Said to Start Offering IPhone in January

Nobody cares about that phone. When is ATT gonna start offering some fun phones is the question.

 

WTF is this confirmed? If I have ordered a droid incredible and still haven't gotten this shipment yet, is there anyway to cancel the order and wait for an Iphone to come out??

Maybe the sources are better this time around, but it seems like every year since Iphone came out, Verizon was going to start offering it the next year, or in 6 months or whatever. I've heard it time and time again.

I used to want one, but I'm pretty happy with the Droid now (except for the battery life) so I really don't care anymore. I guess when the time came I would look at both phones and prices and compare.

 

Hey, it could be true. But just for some perspective, I thought I'd dig up some of the past instances where we've heard equally certain-sounding predictions about the iPhone's big future on Big Red.

September 2008: The iPhone Will Reach Verizon in Early 2009.

April 2009: Scratch That -- The Verizon iPhone Is On for Early 2010.

October 2009: Oh Yeah! 70 Percent Chance of a Verizon iPhone in 2010.

October 2009: Can We Make That Late 2010?

January 2010: Hang On -- The Verizon iPhone Is Happening This Month!

March 2010: OK, That Didn't Work. Let's Try Late 2010 Again.

May 2010: Maybe It'll Be In Early 2011?

I met some of the developers of the OS for the iPhone and they said that it will eventually be on Verizon for sure. They would not say when this would happen but that I should not hold my breath. This was 1 year ago.

 

And you replied to my post with this because...?

 

AT&T will have 4G in about 20 markets (I believe that's the number I was told by an AT&T rep) by Super Bowl weekend 2011, and 40 markets by March Madness.

 

I wonder how much more ATT will raise the price for 4G, since sprint added $10 for the access. Surprise me ATT.
