Didn't know where to post this.

    Raptors interested in Scola?

    -Via Doug Smith's mailbag

It might be nothing but I thought I'd might as well post it.

Maybe Scola will be involved in a sign and trade for Bosh?

Unlikely that Scola would agree to a S&T. How would he benefit from a S&T?

More money? Raptors likely to be ok with paying him more?
    Better location?
    Be the go to guy?

    Anyone have any ideas?

I like Scola alot. He is ok to step up and be the goto post guy, or he is ok to be the kick it out and shoot guy or just the hustle on every play guy. He really does have a good all around package. I wonder how good he would be coming off the bench? He hustles, runs and can do pretty well on the fast break. He could keep up with all those young wipper snappers that come off the bench :)

Ray Allen as our 6th man? Intriguing possibility!

Ray Allen is a free agent this summer and I think he is a intriguing player as our 6th man. I know it might me hard convincing him to take a back-up role, but he would be instant offense. Could you imagine:

    PG- Lowery
    SG- Allen
    SF- Buddinger
    PF- Hill
    C- Hayes

That is a nice second unit! You could even use Battier as our back up PF. Thoughts?

    More like:

    Brooks
    Allen
    Martin
    Scola
    Yao

Deadly 3 pointer around Yao. I'm all for Allen getting the full MLE, but I'm certain he will get more than that. If not, he should be Morey's number one free agent target.

    Stacke
    Bench:
    Ariza
    Hayes
    Budinger
    Lowry
    Hill
    Battier

    Stacked. Injuries wouldn't hurt.

I think Martin is to thin and frail to play SF. That could be a lineup used during games for stretches, but not as a starting lineup.

    I want Allen in Rockets!
Get it done, morey and Bosh as well

    Yao/14th Pick/*Chuck*/*Andersen*
    Bosh/Scola
    Ariza/C-Bud/???
    Allen/Martin/???
    Brooks/Lowry/Derozen

Then it will be a good Team
    * = dont know
    Hill+JT+JJ+Battier+NYK 2012 --> Bosh + Derozen

2011 World NBA Championships = Rockets (W63 games in Regular Season)
    Final MVP: Yao
    COY: RA
    GMOY: DM
    6th Man: Luis Scola

    , BTB

Not sure why Allen comes to Houston when he's showing Boston that he still has some gas in the tank.

And with our luck with aging free agent/trade acquisitions (Steve, Mike James, Bonzi, The Barry's, Derek Anderson etc) he'd probably fall off the cliff as soon as he signed with us.

the starters look GREAT on offense but our defense would be even worse than the warriors. i dont think we need ray allen as we have enough wing players.

Wait a second. Are we talking about that Ray Allen who is playing for Boston in finals? That Boston bit Lebrons Cavs this year... And he would be a 6th man in Houston? So...

    No, I don't think it's possible.

I really don't know why people don't like Ariza. He's not a go-to-guy, but Lakers won a title playing with him in starting 5.

Don't get me wrong. I like Allen, he's a great shooter, but I'm more intrested in Bosh/Jefferson/Cousins/Brand (yeah, that's right, but with #2 pick this year ;) in rockets uniform.

Don't forget David Wesley and Jim Jackson from time to time.

Why does everyone want someone like Ray to sign with Houston when they have a monster game like last night? Bet if he stinks it up next game there'll be he's broken down and too old talk here instead of Jesus, oh Jesus our savior!

NO thanks, Boston can keep their old vets just like everyone else, we're trying to get younger and more athletic.

Clearly Ray proved to be one of the premier 2 guards under pressure....
    Martin is his copy
Wouldn't you take the original over the copy? ;)
Kidding... Ray is better at 34
