DO NOT want Lebron. A purely philosophical opinion on getting a player like a Lebron James or a Kobe Bryant. The concept of "stacking teams" has never worked in the past. Lakers brought in Payton, Malone Mavs brought in Butler, Marion, Haywood Cavs brought in Williams, Jamison Rockets brought in Barkley What we need to work on is TEAM CHEMISTRY not a collection of good/great players. I would rather not have a championship if it comes out of "stacking". What a pathetic way to compete, by stacking the cards.
Old and Old They're the Mavs. Don't consider that Stacked at all. Old, but still got us to the WCF. I'm all for stacking, bring in LeBron!
Tell me the last time a team without any good/great players won the championship? Also we're playing basketball not poker. The only card here that need to be stacked are collectible cards of Bob Sura and David Wesley.
-past their prime not anywhere close to Lebron again, overrated, not anywhere close to their prime if you recall, we got SWEPT by the Sonics the year before. We instantly became contenders, had one of the best records in the NBA and we got our revenge on the Sonics.. and that was an OLD BARKLEY.. I hate to tell you this, but these are horrendous examples. Getting the CURRENT TWO TIME MVP <> horrible analogies
COMPLETELY agree... ...except for the fact that we are trying to win NOW. Team chemistry should be the foundation of young teams like the Warriors, the Nets, and the Thunder. They have so much time to work at getting better. The Rockets, Celtics, Spurs, etc. realize they need to win NOW. Plus, the addition of LeBron > the addition of team chemistry. Getting LeBron means potential championships, and at least getting into the second round of the playoffs with our current cast. Getting team chem (which we already have) requires much time, and potentially winning a title.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you trying to say that Lebron would hurt the teams chemistry? Seems he's pretty popular with his Cleveland teammates. He's done nothing to prove otherwise. Doing the exact same thing Dream did by basically making his team accept the MVP trophy with him. I don't have a problem with the guy at all, just basically a hatred for the amount of Sport center that is spent talking about him. If you're only worry is team chemistry, I don't see how he could possibly cause it to ruin.
Of course championship teams have GREAT players. The point is not to grab some random name for the sake of grabbing some random name. See US Olympic team for past 10 years.
i doubt they are just grabbing random players. they are probably trying to get players that fit together, come on man wow.
