Rockets Individual Players Best Plays of the Year

Here is a fan made highlight mix of the best plays of the year. All of the players that were here at the end of the season (excluding Harris and Johnson) are in this video. Sorry Carl. The NBA did a good job of making a highlight video for the rockets, but they didn't include every player. So check this one out and enjoy.

My favorite plays of the year, player by player.​

Chase Budinger - Let's start off with Chase Budinger, because he is by far the easiest to list. His dunk over DeJuan Blair against the Spurs was probably my favorite play of the year. His putback dunk against the Celtics was also quite impressive.

Jermaine Taylor - Another athletic dunking machine. His dunk against the Cavaliers was so good the ball bounced off his knee and went through the basket again. Now that's power. His dunk against the Clippers was also pure strength, but was less impressive because no one was near him.

Luis Scola - Luis's scoop shot against the Pistons was impressive, as was the one against the Kings. On both of these he was getting pushed away but still somehow put the ball in the basket. For this, he was dubbed the ice cream man

Trevor Ariza - Once again, another athletic dunker. His dunk against his former team was quite impressive, along with the one against the Jazz.

Aaron Brooks - Do I need to say anything on this one? His clutch shots against the Celtics and Nuggets are definitely his best plays of the year. Some of the shots he makes are like "oh my god how did he do that?" That's just the type of player AB is.

Chuck Hayes - The Chuckwagon isn't the type of guy that makes the highlight reel, but his dunk at the end of the season against the Jazz was my favorite play of his all year.

Kyle Lowry - His brute strength can push past centers. One of my favorite plays of his all year was against the Spurs when he drew the foul while in the air and still made the shot. It shows his great combination of power and athleticism.

Kevin Martin - His alley oop against the Raptors was very impressive. Props to Aaron Brooks for the great pass from half court. Since coming to the team, the Rockets have improved greatly on their free throws.

Jared Jeffries - Jared Jeffries best performance this year, without a doubt in my mind, was against his former team when he drew four (I think four?) charges to help lead the Rockets to a win on the defensive end.

Jordan Hill - He is an explosive player. His one handed dunk against the Celtics, among others, topped my list of his best plays as a Rocket.

Shane Battier - His blocking melee against the Kings where he got 3 blocks in one possession was definitely the best play of the year for Battier. Not much offensive flash here, but he draws the charge well and makes good blocks.

David Andersen - His dunk against the Knicks was impressive. Same with the spin move against Utah.

Lol yeah. Chuck isn't really a "highlight" type of player.
