No chance Battier goes. He's the face of the franchise.

I like this team, and I hope everyone stays. That's not going to happen though.

If it's true that Yao is considering free agency, then make it happen.

Maybe this is stupid, but could he be traded for Grainger in Indy, or that rookie center in Memphis?

Ariza - he doesnt seem to fit in with the team... Battier is one of the leaders of the team so I think they'll be hesitant to trade the team

the only move I see possibly happening is some of the 1st rounders will be packaged with with either Shane or Ariza (hopefully Trevor)

I don't see Battier being traded in the off-season at all. I see Battier and Jeffries being traded at the February 2011 trade deadline for $14 mil in cap relief to a team that's going to lose a star.

I think we trade Budinger to move up in the draft.

Hakeem was the face of the franchise more than Battier. Didn't they tell Hakeem to take a hike to north of the border?

    Great point.
I'm a fan of Aaron but i'd definitely feel a lot more comfortable with a 'true' PG on the floor next to Kevin and Yao. I would prefer to have Kevin on the court getting the majority of the ball as opposed to Aaron - as Kevin drives and cuts thus getting to the line an awful lot - which can only help down the wire for the penalty situation.

A PG who is steady under pressure with the ball who can feed the post and provide solid defense is all i can ask for. Having the ability to be the 4th option on offense frequently would be a big bonus.

If the right trade is there for Aaron i'd definitely be comfortable with Daryl shipping him out - although a part of me would be a little upset. I do like his passion.

I can't believe that Battier gets more than 40% of votes. Yao, Scola and Battier, these three are the most important players to this current Rockets team, I mean TEAM.

Battier is someone good to have around. He's great with the media. Someone you want on your team for leadership as well.

Jeffries or Ariza, I think Morey reallyl ikes Battier and Budinger. However, as we have all learned from the past, you can never predict what Morey will do. I mean, who would have predicted dorsey/landry/andtmac for martin hill and picks? Or Green, Jackson, and a pick for artest? I gurantee no matter what happens it's gonna be something no one saw coming

In order of people who I'd like to see go first.

    Jefferies (great expiring trade bait)
    Lowry
    Ariza
Hayes (I think we will find a better backup and he may lose alot of minutes)
Battier (could be included in a trade because he is so likeable and he may get us someone good in return)

People I will be heartbroken if they get traded (not in any order)
    Yao
    Scola
    Martin
    Brooks

I voted for Battier. If there is a trade done in the offseason then Battier is likely going to be the filler because of his contract and there are plenty of teams that want his defense and locker room presence.

If Shane leaves then I want Ariza back in a Rockets uniform next season. Before the new decade, Trevor was holding his opponents to a jaw-dropping 40% efg. Granted his defense slipped as the season went along and was getting lit by just about everyone. Still, I think he get back to that 'lockdown' defender status (or least close enough), and his steals are always a boost for us on the fastbreak.

You got to be joking, if you think SF was the face of the franchise over Hakeem.

Then, they hire him for PR after his contract ends.

There is only one face of the franchise. Despite his injuries, it's Yao Ming.
The reason for this is obvious,we are a lottery team without him.
