    Probably knee-jerk but screw it.

After watching tonights game and seeing what Scola can do along with seeing glimpses of what Jordan Hill could become, can they have what it takes to become a Championship duo at their position?

I think they can because Scola is proving to be a more then just a solid PF and Hill has shown me enough in his game with the jumper coming along, rebounding/shot blocking and versatility to become at worst a Carl Landry type bench man but probably A LOT more.

Great effort tonight, but until Hill can become a better scorer, I don't see it happening. I love both of their hustle though.

Scola is easily a championship level PF. The guy has stepped up his game and is now a 20-10 player, he just continues to amaze me. I like Hill's size, lenght, and athletism which we desperately need. I would like to see his offense improve.

Can he develop a nice post game? I dont know only time will tell. He's a little raw and he seems to struggle at times, but that's to be expected. I expect him to improve in the offseason.

Well, Scola is about to start his 30's....I think?
Probably not enough time, even if JHill develops in the next few years as a really good player....it will be to late for Scola.

I say no because Scola plays more like a small forward, while Hill plays the power game but due to the lack of experience will be a back up for this & next season.
However I do think that a combo of Bosh/Hill would be a contender level Power Forward Combo.

If we can get Bosh and also get Landry to come back & play Sm. Forward, we will be set.
    Go Les, Go Morey!! :p

What are you talking about? Scola does not play like a small forward at all. he bangs on the post, hustles, and rebounds.

I don't think it's a power forward championship combo either, but Scola does not play like a small forward. He doesn't have the ball handling or the shooting ability of one,nor can he defend 3's. He isn't athletic, but he likes to operate in the low block more than taking jumpers. He has become a pretty good rebounder as well. He is a true 4. Landry is a 4 as well.

I dare strongly disagree. Scola is a banger man, he even hesitates anywhere near the paint unless he feels contact. Your assessment of Scola's skills seems largely off to me.

Add another 5/4 from the draft on top of it. Move Andersen, and Hilton. I'm still inclined to retaining Chuck as well.

    Thorpe/Herrera
    Horry/Chucky Brown/Chilcutt

    Those were the championship combos

Having a healthy All star center helps ;)

    YES!

Now we just need to find a legit C (Whiteside) to roll with Yao!!!

    Scola/Hill
    Yao/Whiteside

You know a Jordan Hill/Whiteside future could be very nice...:)
