Wilbon and Le Batard gave an anniversary shoutout to Yao on the show today. Two years ago today Yao announced he was out for the season with a stress fracture in his foot. They both said they miss Yao and that the league needs him back. It was nice to see our gentle giant get some respect.

    Anyone else catch it?

Awesome that the only anniversary recognition we get is when Yao goes out for the season.

Damn you Yao, damn you. This team was a contender........now it's, complicated. If Yao could stay healthy he could really build a solid reputation for himself. Not that he hasn't, but I mean a highly admired reputation. A year or two ago I remember either nba.com or espn had him pre picked as a top canidate for league mvp. Oh well, next season will be here soon, and then the big guy will be back....YES!!!!. But, he if he gets injured again next season I don't know if I'll be able to handle it.

Yes this was during the middle of our 22 game winning streak.

You must be thinking of last season when he was injured AGAIN.

Like others said we need to get Yao some bionic feet & legs. That was crazy when Yao went out in game 1 against the fakers & on the way to the locker room and told the trainers he going back out to the court and hit the game winning shot. Yao is a hard worker, how many other stars are going to shoot how many shots seated in a chair in a walking boot? Yao could easily have 10 points a night, but like JVG said he isn't reffed fairly, you know the stern, kobe, lebron network $$$ agenda. You know Tim Donaghy is a lone wolf.....????If Yao get hurt maybe in 18 years there might be female NBA players like stern said, maybe Yao's daughter will play

LMAO taking things personal. No seriously, what are you learning from those 2 idiots? To ride Kobe's jock? Or that the Yankees are awesome? That show is 2 guys speculating about random **** they have no idea on like whether Favre returns or if [insert random name] "is done."

The show aint news... since they never break any stories on that show and it's not perspective... since they never bring any insider knowledge that the casual fan doesn't have. It's basically 2 guys going through headlines talking **** and spouting opinions that they dont have to substantiate or back up. It's on ESPN primarily because it costs nothing to make.

Other than that it's a f'ing GREAT show

Seriously though, you sound like a smart guy... so at least you have that going for you.
