No, this thread is simply a way of saying "We are missing our best player"...and that expectations should be tempered.

You should know that YoYo, it is quite obvious.

If someone doesn't step up in the GARM and try to put a dose of reality every now and then, it will get even worse than it is now.

If you miss him so much, why don't you marry him?

Wow... all of Dwights stats go down when he plays Yao and all of Yao's stats go up when he plays Dwight.... across the board.
That's pretty interesting to see, I mean we all knew Yao tends to outplay Howard in head to head, but for it to be across the board in every statistical category is even better.

Yao clogs the lane less than Shaq, and Kobe, Wade, Penny, and Lebron have all done just fine with Shaq down there...

K-mart will probably draw fouls on Yao. Wait, you can't foul your own player......oh well.

yeah Rockets miss yao this year...Yao makes this a better defensive team because of length(7ft6 goalie around the rim)...the rockets defense this year is average at best.

Hope Yao come back next year completely healthy.

Nope, once we got Kmart, we no longer needed his scoring.

Even without Kmart, the extra minutes should go to Cbud. He's worth 10 times more to develop than Wafer.

Cleverly disguised attempt at discrediting Lowry's value.

So do I. So many of our players benefit from what Yao does on the court. Battier's defensive life is easier having a 7'6 guy behind him. Plus, he gets more open threes off doubles. Scola seems to struggle sometimes when Yao isn't around. I don't know for sure what it is, but Yao just seems to open up his game. And Trevor....oh Trevor, well we don't know yet what these two are like together, but I would think Yao will take an immense amount of pressure off Trevor.

I agree with this, he is way sharper on both ends of the floor.

Chase is a full fledged HD TV to Von's radio.

I would have to disagree because Von was way more efficient on the offensive side. On the defensive side Chase is a little more developed but that is not saying much because they both are poor on defense.

    Von- FG% .447, 3P% .390

    Chase- FG% .432, 3P% .365

Von's IQ might not be top notch but he definitely knows when to drive and shoot. Where Chase seems to struggle with that decision a lot more.

    Someguy,

It was Von's 4th year in the league, not fair to compare a 21 year old rookie to a 4th year player.

Let's see how Chase is in a couple of years.

Von averaged 4.5 minutes per game in his first 4 years. He played 46 games in that 4 year time span.

It was almost like he was a rookie last year with the Rockets.

I understand, and I like Von, but Chase is a much better player, he already moves so well within the offense and makes very nice passes, he rebounds better, has better form, and is only 21 years old.

Von is quicker, but Chase will have a much better career, IMO.
