The guys on Sports Radio 610 (Rich & Charlie) were talking about this yesterday. 'Time Magazine' put out a list of the top T.V. cartoon characters of all-time. So who was your favorite growing up? Now? (can only be television cartoon characters, no comic books superheroes fanboys/fangirls! ;) )

    My top five:
    1. Wile E. Coyote (the perenial loser, not quite being able to reach the top, sounds like my 'Stros, huh? ;) )
    2. Fat Albert
    3. Yosemite Sam
    4. Pink Panther
    5. Droopy

Honorable mention: Mr. Magoo, Underdog, King of the Hill(the next door neighbor), Ren & Stimpy, and Starblazers(remember? early Japanamation cartoon)...

    *Ahhh, the innocence of childhood.:D

    1. Homer Simpson (might be the best character on TV period, cartoon or otherwise)

    2. Optimus Prime (Big Rig, Big Gun, on the side of good)

    3. Splinter (Old Rat, wise, kicked butt when attacked...)

    4. Barney Rubble (Could you have a better next door neighbor and friend?)

    5. He-Man (By the Power of Greyskull...I'm gonna kick your butt with a huge sword!)

    Honorable Mention (no particular order):

Michaelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, talked like a stoner, parents don't notice)

The whole Thundercats team (would have made the top 5, but I caught a show the other day on Cartoon Network, the first I've seen in 12 years, and it was pretty crappy...ah...what we like as children....)

Samurai Jack (like that show, a little different, need to see more of it to put in top 5)

And finally...the obscure character that is cool reference:

Link - From The Legend of Zelda cartoon that only showed on Fridays from the Super Mario Brothers Supershow Hour, or whatever it was called. That cartoon kicked butt, would have been so much cooler if it was an everyday cartoon instead of the Mario bros. Zelda was cool on the show as well...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rocked. As a kid, my favorite was Leonardo, but in retrospect I think Raphael was probably the coolest.

Tweeg from Teddy Ruxpin was another cool character.

    Astroboy had his moments, too.

I also liked the Spider-Man cartoon. Rhino kicked butt.

    1. Optimus Prime - Incredible power wrapped in incredible maturity. Maybe the first real role model I can remember...no kidding

    2. Panthro- Flat out kicked ass. If you didn't get in trouble for sawing your moms broom in half to make some ghetto nun-chucks(sp) then you weren't a big enough fan.

    3. He-Man - I liked him so much that I watched She-Ra episodes for the off chance that it would be one he showed up in.

    4. Snake-Eyes (GI Joe)- Thid dude never said a word, yet he screamed cool.

He was blind, too, right? Or maybe deaf? It wasn't just that he couldn't talk, he had some other handicap, right?

    TaleSpin or Jungle Book?

TaleSpin had the coolest villains. Khan, Karnage, and Colonel Spiggot(perhaps you've heard of him? ;) ) were awesome.

I think he was only temporary blinded in one episode. I'm not too sure on this though.
