Other than Austin, I suppose? I'll be driving down to New Braunfels to pick up a rock and a fish. No joke - I'm going to pick up a rock and a fish. I'm single, so that should pretty much explain the stupid stuff I do. Like I tell my friends, "I'm Single Guy - I've got places to be and no reason to be there...".

Anyway, so other than Austin or underground caverns, is there anything to do on the trip down there? Once I'm in New Braunfels, I can't really do much 'cause the stupid fish would have to sit in the car.

I can't even believe some of the stuff I type... this just seems weird, but I'm going to press the Submit New Thread button anyway. I know I'll regret it in about an hour...

wait a few months and go to Oktoberfest! I went a few years ago and had a blast! mmm... good beer (i'm a vegetarian, so the various meats-on-a-stick didn't appeal to me)

Yes, I remember back in high school we used to take field trips to the Wurstfest in New Braunfels -> beer and brats.

You could harrass the Baptists in Waco.

They do have an actual bear on campus there, too. Exciting. :)

Yup, I knew this was a mistake.

    Mango & drapg,

I need to go tomorrow and I'm only going to get... uh, my rock and uh... my fish. Really stopping off anywhere on the way back is impossible due to my little buddy (uh.. the fish) being with me.

Good idea Drew, but the Guad and the Comal will probably stay closed for the rest of the summer. :(

Too bad because tubing is something the fish could participate in.

Dod, what species of fish and what sort of rock?

There are two giant outlet malls in San Marcos on I-35 (tax-free weekend!).

Check out Gruene and it's historic dancehall.

That trip to California has really messed you up d00d.

What's next? Asking where are the best places to surf in Texas? or Where do Valley Girls hangout in Texas?

And now you refer to yourself in the 3rd person? (see D0D's sig)
