The fact that you think some players are better than others has absolutely nothing to do with how the teams actually fare. First, if you wouldn't even hesitate to trade Cuttino straight up for Q, then you must not watch much of either player, and are basing everything you know on hearsay. How are Kandi/Ely>Ming/Cato?

Also, talent doesn't mean everything. Just ask the Blazers. How the talent meshes is a huge factor to a team's success. With this trade, the Clippers may be better by a talent standpoint, but are in no way a sure thing to be a better team than the Rockets.

Next season, the Rockets could very easily be the better of the two teams. Long-term, the Clippers have an edge(talent-wise, anyway). They will soon be facing the problem of resigning. Does it bother Clippers fans that noone on the team outside of their least-proven player(Jaric) is under contract for more than two seasons. Not just their core, but their whole team!
