I don't care who is there as long as it is not a disaster like last year with that ****ing wheel. That had to be the worst idea ever made. I mean, how the **** was Stevie meant to do that dunk? And to see the look on Dr. J's face as if he thought the dunkers were pathetic at copying. I felt like slapping the *****!!

I completely agree. That wheel idea was terrible. They need to let the players do what they do best....be original!

Also have someone besides Kenny Smith judging it.:p :p :p

I liked the wheel. If you can't do cool dunks like those, then you don't deserve to win. I would like to see Brent Barry back in it. What white guy have they had in there since him? I bet he could do the Statue of Liberty dunk, unlike certain point guards. *cough* Steve *cough*

I don't even want them to have a dunk contest if it's going to be as lame as last year.
Yeah, let's assume the players can't think of their own creative dunks, so we'll make them do someone else's timeless, never-to-be-replicated-again dunks.
They should just give them 3 dunks with 30 seconds to do each one.

I'm starting to hate all-star weekend events. 3point is fine, but get rid of the freaking WNBA players. No one wants to see that PC crap, we know that there's another league, but it's ridiculous. They took what was a badass idea and completely ruined it. Could you imagine a NY vs LA vs Chitown vs Detroit 3 on 3, playground style game with NBA players, no freaking celebrities and no freaking women. Players repping their hometowns playing for pride, It would've been awesome, but nooooo Stern and his dumbass marketing fools had to ruin it. Still makes me mad...

I'd rather see Steve in the 3 point shooting contest. The slam dunk contest is way lame and last year the contest was a complete joke. If the real stars won't play... forget it.

Dude, Steve is physically incapable of replicating the Statue of Liberty Dunk!!! He can't palm the basketball. That's not a fair basis of comparison on his ability to artistically dunk a basketball.

They were smart to retire the Slam Dunk Contest. The only All-Star event worth anything is the Rookie Game.

After last year's debacle, I wouldn't be surprised if they ditched the slam dunk contest. What a joke that was.

If you could get the stars to show up and completely free-lance, it would be awesome, awesome. Kobe, T-Mac, Francis, Vince, Shane Battier...well, not Shane, but if you could get these guys to do it...

    Problem is, they won't.
