I thought this was a typical Clyde comment from last night: Bill: The Nuggets are completely dominating the boards. Clyde: In every way. Not necessarily a dumb thing to say, but pretty much a meaningless thing to say. The job of the analyst is to expand upon what play-by-play guy says. That's just basic and Clyde rarely does that. As much Calvin's voice made my skin crawl, at least he understood this about his purpose on the broadcast.
Bill - You know, Shaq is really a guy you don't want to take a charge from Clyde - YOU THINK!!!!! you hear that one at least two or three times a night
rofl would be hilarious if Bill would just pop Clyde during a broadcast I just don't understand why he still continues to laugh at his own comments. Saying something like, "Well you don't want to foul him...heh heh heh." What is funny about this!!?
Can some1 tell our broadcast crew this because I know Worrell likes to use this everytime and Bull and Drex probably use it now too.
They say old fashion bc that use to be the only way. Just bc things are still around does not mean they can't be old fashion. Also there are plenty of announcers that say the old fashion way as well bc it is a correct term.
he said that three times in a row last night on ensuing plays... but I got to give Clyde a positive from last night when he clowned Bullard on the Fast Times reference. Bull basically pop quizzed him and challenged him on air if he knew what "Hey Bud, Let's Party!" was a reference to. Clyde waited and smoothly replied "Spicoli? Don't Sleep on me..."
bill said something like the rockets defense is tough this quarter.. clyde goes they are playing tough defense.
The phrase "3-point play" is never used for a made 3-pointer. It's always a made 2, plus the foul. Sometimes you hear "4-point play" for a made 3, plus the foul.
