    The Houston Cosmos

    Cosmos - an orderly and harmonious system(in reference to our team play), synonymous with Universe. Also similar to cosmopolitan. Houston can be considered a cosmopolitan city.

    Uhmm. Houston Rockets because we have NASA in Houston? The Astros being all about outer space and the Comets? Rockets blasting off to check out on the Comets and Astros? And possibly self destructing up there to blow the whole universe up into all kinds of probabilities?
