Ben Wallace!!?!?!? Played 1 good year, was overrated on defence due to media attention, never had any offence, how do you airball 2 free throws in 1 game?

J.Kidd was better for longer. 2000-2005 I'd say Kidd was the consensus best PG in the game. Triple doubles left and right. Got an unspectacular New Jersey team to the finals consecutive years.

Nash has been good since 2000 and great since '05 but I think Kidd's early 2000s production wins it for him.

Interesting. Howard may be a super hero, but Yao is the Ii Ching!

Having people who didn't come close to playing most of the decade is a joke.

By the end of the year he will have played more games than yao. He has already played more playoff games than yao.

Yao has 5 allnba teams to dwights 3 and yao has more more allstar teams, but Dhoward has taken a team to the final, won dpoy, has been nba 1st team twice. I think most likely he gets 1st team this year and has a good chance for DPOY so I think it is fair to say that at this point his career accomplishments are higher than yaos.

    This team:

    F Duncan
    F KG
    C Shaq
    G Kobe
    G Kidd

Probably has the best chance against this team:

    F Barkley
    F Pippen
    C Dream
    G Jordan
    G Stockton

So that'd be my '00 team.

If this is 2005, I pick Shaq, Duncan, KG, Tmac and Kobe. How things have change in just 4 years.

Apart from the fact that KG is not a SF and wont be able to guard pippen at all.

i think you guys are putting the amount of success the team had as oppose to just the player. I dont see how t-mac is not included in this list. he is definatly ahead of billups, i am not so sure about ai, and he is beating pierce aswell

Tracy McGrady was the best player in the league in the early 2000's, and Kobe wasn't even close. No one was close.

Really? TMac was never the best player in the league. Duncan, Shaq, and KG were all significantly better. Kobe and TMac were compared to each other when Kobe was playing with Shaq, but most people would give the edge to Kobe.

Iverson was probably a better player then Tracy in the early 2000s. There scoring numbers are comparable, but Iverson took his team to the finals, and TMac well you know that story.

Tracy was a great player but he never won a MVP and didn't take his team anywhere.

Anyone who says Ben Wallace had one good year has no idea what they are saying.

I won't put Nash on any of those teams. A player who can only play on one side of the floor doesn't deserve to be here. Every PG in the league has a field day against Nash and he had to count on Marion, Bell, even Hill to guard his opposition. When was the last great guard like that?
