Should we trade Shane Battier to give Chase Budinger more playing time?

    He gave this team a hard defense,a possitive attitude,he teach the rookies and the whole team how to defend,he is also a good 3-points shooter,to this team I think he is more valuable than ariza and the guy who we will trade for,
    stay him,please!

    Are you sure T-Mac would still stay at Houston next season? Chase, yes, has more potential than Shane. However, we shouldn't underestimate Battier's work in playoffs.

    I agree, Ariza should be traded.
    Battier has been a spiritual leader in this team and his influnence to Rockets cannot be reflected on data.

    Budinger is not one of those guys that forces the action. He tends to let the flow of the game determine his actions. I think this is good in Adelmans offense during the normal flow of the game but not necessarily good when you get to certain points in the game where you need to force the action like when you are closing out a tight game. This being said I don't know if he has the mentality to ever be a closer but I do think he has the talent and skill to do it at some point. This will also lead his box scores to be somewhat underwhelming sometimes even when his play is just fine.
