I like optimism but I highly doubt it. But, I haven't had a nice enough day at work, it'll make it all up for me if that did happen ;)

When you're setting a new record, set it so no one can break it.

    Go at least 0-20

As bad as this type of record is...

It's the only way they can be remembered!

    New movie:

    Remember the Nets.

The only team in the history of the NBA... to go 0-82 in the regular season.

What was the scored when you said that?

    77-50, Mavs, at the half.

    0-18.

More incredibly, the Mavs are shooting 80.6% from the field, 87.5% behind the arc and 100% from the line.

They also scored 49 points in the 2nd quarter.

I watched the 2nd quarter just so I could see history. I don't know how much more history I can take. Whenever Brooke Lopez touched the ball, the Mavs doubled him and the Nets offense died. On the other end, it's like practice session for the Mavs against a rec league team. The Nets players are in a daze and need to snap out of it.

I'm actually glad I didn't have to witness that. I usually love seeing epic stuff but my pity for the Nets combined with my hatred for the Mavs would have made the experience less than enjoyable.

This may make you vomit, but the Mavs offense is like poetry when teams don't play defense. Kidd whips the ball around to find the open man or the cutter and Dirk, Jet and Shawn Marion just flow like a river.

I do like Lopez. He reminds me of a young Timmy D.

    Blech!

True enough, though. If you force them to play half-court sets it starts to look less poetic with Kidd at the point.
