Same goes for drinking, cigarettes, eating meat or dairy, eating junk food, eating sweets, drinking soda or anything with caffeine and on and on and on. (Except that weed is less bad for you than anything else on that list.) I guess you don't do any of those things. Amazing.
Science vs. politics. You obviously took the side of politics. I've never smoked weed (or drunk alcohol or smoked a cigarette or etc etc..), but it seems so harmless to me. There's no legitimate science out there proving otherwise.
Right. Thats why all the greatest music of the past 50 years was produced by people who only drank alcohol on new year's eve and had a warm glass of milk before crawling into bed at 7:30 PM.
Anyone that is against weed legalization obviously knows nothing about it, its good though, the faster old people leave the better chances of mar1juana legalization happens, remember the current young adults are supporting it, Obama is younger than most presidents and supports it, it'll be legalized soon.
The medical basis is that they stay under the influence for days instead of hours like alcohol. so if you smoke daily or many times per week, you will ALWAYS be under the influence,
This perception is not even remotely close to being true. Unfortunately, it's also not uncommon amongst those subject to the decades-long effort by our government(s) to discourage drug use by lying about its effects.
Uh yes it is true. It stays in your system for weeks after and it changes behavior for days. Regular users are under the influence almost all the time. They are not high all the time because of tolerance, but they are under the influence for sure. Which contributes to the mental addiction of the drug.
Decriminalized would be much better. If legal we would have the BATFE in charge of it. You really want to give them more power?
I agree this is true of chronic smokers. There are some people that are going to misuse/abuse any drug, whether its legal or not.
The chronic users will be the majority of users if you go by weight or whatever though. I actually don't have much of a problem with decriminalize though. Just it is not a harmless drug. Sure it is the lesser of the three evils physically (depending on lung damage compared to cigs, not sure) but it certainly has a much worse life/career impact than cigs.
What makes you think so? Are the majority of drinkers alcoholics? It's not even physically addictive, like alcohol and tobacco are. I think people who are inclined to smoke pot daily are already doing it. If it were legalized, most people would probably use it recreationally and occasionally as most do with alcohol.
What makes me think chronic users will smoke the majority of the weed? I think that would be pretty obvious. I think even if legalized it would take a while to gain near the social acceptance.
