Should Eddie play in the summer leagues with the rockets this year? i think he should and the rockets should put him on the post and let him work on his post moves.

It wouldn't hurt. Some extra time in actual games could prove beneficial in the future. He could definitely use the minutes to fine-tune his skills.

I still think we should let him play 3. We have a log jam at 3 and 4. With EG at the 3 and Mo at the 4, it gives us size advantages. And we'll have our 2 best defenders on the court at the same time.

Except when we play SA, 6'7" or not, KT is a handful for Duncan. He play Duncan as well as anyone in the league with maybe the exception of KG.

Our Rocket killer then becomes Tony Parker.

    Steve Phrancis,
Are you implying that Mo Taylor is one of the Rockets top 2 defenders?

I think for the rockets the point for Eddie to play in the summer league is to develope he post skillz first and for most. then he can work on his handles and drives to the hole. i still think Eddie is a 4.

eddie, collier, and morris need more summer work........there is no excuse why those 3 should not be participating in the summer leagues (LA and Rocky Mountain Revue).........

We should use Eddie in the summer leagues to see if he can really handle the scoring load night in and night out.

I don't see his future job as carrying the scoring load for this team. His job will be helping Yao Ming anchor the frontcourt defense. A future front line of Ming and Griffin is awesome!

I am really, really excited about the possibilities of Griffin and Ming anchoring the front court in the soon future.

from what Clutch says - Nachbar, Rice and KT will be there, so Griffin should go.

RICE is playing in the summer leagues...RICE !!!

Really? This is beyond hope, that he would actually report to camp in shape and ready.

He still has game left, but he needs to be IN SHAPE.

If Rice can be in shape then that is gravy, since he brought so much to the clubhouse leadership last year...

Seriously, he can't be any worse.

If Rice is scoring 40pts during the summer leagues like Clutch said in one of his posts, then at least he has his shot back if nothing else.

I think, these players have to play at Summer Leauge:

    Oscar Torres
    Tierre Brown
    Maurice Taylor
    Eddie Griffin
    Tito Maddox
    Bostjan Nachbar
    Terence Morris
    Glen Rice
    Jason Collier

    And a few invitee's (Undrafted Players,NBDL Players).

I would like to see, that we invite McGhee,Benson or Bremer.

Houston-in-LA, Shank -- give us reports on the games please...

Eddie is a 4, ok...He can shoot 3 pointers, but that doesn't make him a 3. Nothing else in his game resembles being a small forward. He's bulking up and working on his post game. That's what a 4 does. It's okay if he shoots 3's occasionally as long as he doesn't camp out there, but he's our future starting 4 so get used to it...

I think they have a limit of 3 or 4 roster players(excluding rookies) who can participate at one time.
